Refn has some great movies under his belt but his recent stuff has been super dumb. Like come on, Drive was great and the Pusher trilogy is fantastic. David Lynch deserves his legendary status. I used to love Kojima but after mgs4, mgs5, and DS my opinion of him has soured. I understand that his writing partner wasn’t there for those games, but from a directorial standpoint those games were so deeply flawed in both idea and execution that it’s baffling to me that he’s still so well regarded.

No, but there are books and interviews that reveal the extent of Fukushima's involvement with MGS1 and 2, and quite frankly, his influence on the series was not as great as Anti-Kojimafags like to pretend that it is.
