Should I buy a Wii U?
Should I buy a Wii U?
bait
nope
I loved my Wii U at the time but you can now buy pretty much all of it's exclusives in Deluxe forms on the Switch so not much point now.
It has no games just like the switch.
unless you're hacking it because you can't find literally anything else to hack then no
it's a good emulation machine and has a lot of good games, unless you want to buy the switch ports
a lot of them are cheaper on the wii u desu or you can just hb and dl them for free
I loaded up splatoon 1 last week and matchmaking instantly found full games, both ranked and unranked.
Yes. for the Universal remote function
Got mine for $60 back in 2014 thanks to a thread I saw on Zig Forums about how Sears put the wrong price on their website. Drove to a walmart 20 minutes away in the boonies just to price match since all the ones near me were sold out.
WiiU is the console of chads
Switch is for soibois
Don't let them trick you into thinking their soulless ports are superior to the originals
Almost all of the notable Wii U games have either superior sequels or ports on Switch, so no
any wiiu game that matters is going to be on the switch at some point
Wii U owner here, it depends a lot on what you want out of it.
Not a lot of exclusives left on it, but if you really want to play Mario 3D World on native hardware, go nuts.
Beside it being a very capable emulation box, with it having native Gamecube and Wii hardware in it, it's also the best way to play GC and Wii games on modern TVs if you feel like the Dolphin emulator just doesn't cut it.
The Netflix app is borked btw.
In an update they removed all Wii U specific features like gamepad support, and now it runs slow as molasses, sometimes crashing in the middle of a movie.
You probably have other devices to play Netflix on, but hey.
>WiiU is the console of chads
Depends if Zelda Wii U ends up being good, but the squid game and mk8 are pretty fun
Did this fucking failed console have a stronger, more consistent game output than Nintendo's latest, highly successful console?
Serious
I miss mine but like other anons said almost all of the exclusives are on Switch now. I wish Yoshi had been ported to Switch instead of 3DS. Part of the appeal of Woolly World was the super detailed art style and a lot of the creative designs are lost in a blurry mess on 3DS.
It's better than the Switch at least
The most important thing is: Will a WiiU and its games value will go up in like 15-20 years?
All Nintendo consoles prices went like this.
not likely since Nintendo ports games to newer generations now, which wasn't so common for them to do before with a few exceptions
Christ no. It's the only system I've ever regretted buying. Everything except Mario 3d has been upgraded on the Switch anyway.
We had Super Metroid on SNES mini, Wii VC, WiiU VC...
Have you looked up how much des it cost on eBay?
There is an emulator on pc you dont even need a great computer to use it.
yeah, even my shitty pc can play botw with some minor downgrades and im pretty sure at least thats the most intensive wii u game
Yes, if you softmod it
If you have no intentions of buying a Switch, go for it. Otherwise, not really
lol no, Wii U games came out at a snails pace
>It has no games just like the switch.
