The truth is there's one big twist and everyone figured it out in the trailers. Kojima actually adds more pseudoscience with magic parasites too, just to make things even more confusing.

It absolutely, positively astonishes me how much faith Kojima pulls from Zig Forums. Like I liked MGSV, and most of his games. I don't really have any strong dislike for anything he does, but seeing Zig Forums being hyped for a game is really weird.

He made Peace Walker as a way of getting his son to like a single game he made, and it worked, so he went back to enjoying working on Metal Gear. The fact that it got yanked away from him the moment he liked it again after years of despising it is some kind of cosmic joke, but increasingly I think he kind of deserved it.

Not Sutherland's fault. They cut a lot of lines including some very spirited ones.
