Try verifying your game integrity on steam, and see if that starts your download after it sees files missing. I'd recommend just circumventing it entirely, but Steam Workshop Downloader quit and its successor fallback.steamworkshopdownloader.io
Relaunch Steam and try to launch Ruina afterwards and see if you have any mods working ingame

Amber Midnight can be pretty bad, but not as bad as the first time you get Violet Noon'd as long as you're paying attention and not playing at any faster speeds. If you want a minor spoiler that'll help
Put everyone in elevators before triggering it, then keep them there till you get a grasp on what's going on. Prepare to make clerk lovers upset

Amber midnight's not too bad if your nuggets aren't in the centre rooms unless you have Whitenight, it just takes forever to actually do.
