Basically what said, it's easier but also a better balanced game with less bullshit bosses.
Adol's magic projectile attack is kind of OP for most of the game though, especially when you get its upgrades.

If you want more Party style play 7. If you want to try the other styles try 1, Origin or Oath.

ys7 if you still want a party based ys game. If not, jump into Felghana or whatever one you want. But I suggest you play 1 and 2 first before you play ys6(Napishtim) and Origin.
