It's easy to explain why the single plauer is worse in GTA V the story is split between 3 guys and all the villains you kill at the end are barely featured in the story for more than 2 missions.

While on a family road trip to Disneyland in 2009 my dad bought a gym bag containing this game and like nine others from a random black dude standing on the corner of the gas station we had parked at. When I got home half the discs didn't work including the GTA IV disc. I didn't really care about the others but I was really disappointed by that one not working

I think its more fun to dick around with in GTA4, I think its just how the world reacts to you, the physics, the AI.

GTA5 has more content sure, but what good is customizing my vehicle and upgrading my engine if the police chases are garbage, Same thing with the weapons and customization of that too, there is so much of it and you can't even have fun with it because the AI is terrible. And driving being too arcadey is a valid point because GTA is a a vehicle game with shooter elements, not a shooter game with vehicle element, or so it was in the past.

Because you get only 1/3 of the standard ~90 missions for each character. The story felt extremely short and uneventful because of that.

It's rich to call 5's story uneventful, when it has far more memorable missions and set pieces than 4. In fact, the only thing ever brought up about 4 is the bank heist, every other discussion about is centered around either muh attenshun to detail.

Uneventful as in there isn't much happening in terms of character development. Franklin was the worst offender of that, he didn't even have his own story.

GTA4 is a big step down from SA and 5 is a big step down from 4. Its not a hard concept to understand
