Wtf Zig Forums you told me it was bad

It's overrated as fuck but I thought it was fun.

Ever since the leaks of TLOU Part II came out, Zig Forums retroactively pretended that they liked the first game all along so that they would have an excuse to be outraged.

Remove all the cutscenes from MGS1 through 4 and you have about four to five hours of gameplay in each entry.

How is that any different from TLOU?

Look the game has flaws, but it's really no more a movie game than any other game that has cutscenes at ends of levels.

Bioshock Infinite was a bad game that was too highly praised. TLoU was a decent game that was too highly praised.

But in all honesty, I think HL2 is the closest gaming got to its own Citizen Kane. It used new ways of telling the story, it used new mechanics and techniques for the gameplay, and it changed how people made video games.

TLOU probably has 15 hours of gameplay on your first playthrough.

Highly overrated game, but the story and dialogue were amazing for a video game though. Playing through the beginning of Winter on grounded mode is a blast as well. Easily one of the best "cinematic games" (despite those types of games not really being my personal preference).

I’ve played this game 5 times over and ton of multiplayer. I love it but lets not act like the sequel is looking that promising. Zero mp and pozzed sp.

it's a cliche movie bogged down by slow, boring, engaging gameplay, it's a walkie-talkie , a movie you can at least endure it for hour and half, two hours and be done with this, shit is like 8-12 hours long

Its not. And this comes from a big time MGS fan. You can't call TLOU a movie pretending to be a video game and act like the MGS series isnt. Kojima is legitimately a movie buff who wanted to be a director but fell into gaming instead and wants to form a synthesis of the two. The entire point of his games is to highlight the aspects that making gaming stand out (making you pull the trigger on the Boss in MGS3) while marrying it to good storytelling and themes you'd get from good movies
