Glad someone else noticed this. Destruiction Derby was made by Psgynosis, who also made Wipeout, who was bought by Sony and later dissolved so Sony owns all their properties. I don't know if anyone really even remembers Destruction Derby, so maybe they should've gone with Twisted Metal.
