I loved this game. Still playing it.
I built the entire road infrastructure before I hit chapter 4, hard work but felt good. Im now trying to get a complete zipline utilising the highest more difficult to climb peaks

I still don't understand how the cooperative building works. Am I connected to people in my region / level range?
Anyway, it makes you feel like a part of the community without actualy having a "community" per say.

I liked it, but I'll never play it again.

just unlocked the zipline, if i start building ziplines everywhere will this game get boring?
i feel like i will be using zipline travelling for 80% of game

I still don't know to be honest.
I think you are in lobby with maybe another 100 players. The more likes you give yourself the more likely your structures are likely to be seen..

thats why I spent a week building all the roads BEFORE connecting regions to the Chiral network.. If you connect a regeion to the network then that allows for others to build your road for you - meaning you lose the likes for owning the road.

Im not 100% on this but it seems to work. Ive got a Million likes before chapter 4 just from road building where as my bridges and gennies have 0

I wish I knew how it worked.

it just helps for avoiding BT'S and getting your 'delivery time' stats up. Great for premium deliveries but yes it completely kills the game - best to complete the game first and then go back to put in optimal ziplines for the premium deliveries.

I don't think it kills the game. Plenty of places impossible to reach with ziplines, unless you jump from them.

Well I just meant the games difficulty setting is basically the terrain you traverse.
The zipline takes the main challenge/point of the game away in my opinion - I consider it an end game reward if anything.

I also wish you could see the out of bounds better. Ive been climbing everything and at some point the textures just go smooth and thats your indication you can't go any higher... trouble is you can't see this from the ground.

Building an efficient zipline network is a lot of fun. They're not useful for every delivery anyway.

yeah its about make fun routes and aesthetic.
also you only get a certain amount of bandwidth so you have to be smart where you place them if you want to own the entire network

Ziplines make going around some areas, specially between Mountain Knot and the preppers around it, less of a chore as you can avoid the many BT areas and snowstorms.
But they aren't as useful past Heartman's lab as the terrain won't let you make too perfect ziplines.

Yeah, making strand contracts with other zipline builders who actually put them in useful spots is helpful too.

I played it twice because i fucked up the Higgs missions and didn't get the OP guns.
Weird thing is Im still getting likes from the ziplines in my first play through. Its confusing.

Wrong. I had that entire region zip-lined. There’s a couple wonky spots but if you spent most of your allotment on zip lines you didn’t need to walk anywhere on that side of the map. I could zip all the way from the mountains to the farm and every base in between. It was rad, great game.

only impossible zipline area ive found so far is the canyon up from the first incinerator to the top of the cliffs above Ludens fan. I tried for hours - there must be an invisible wall there, sucks

Can't fucking wait for the PC release, now to run away from the thread before I get hit with spoilers I've somehow managed to avoid them for half a year.

I've been addicted to this game, like literally crave doing shipments and side quests, driving hours and hours on end.

The Gameplay Loop and all the methods of traversal feels so fresh to me. From having to walk, to having to steal a MULE truck to building your own truck and highway...
Still at Chapter 5, but will finish the game at it's own pace.

What I don't get is all the people that said the story is horseshit whereas (at least to the part where I'm at) the world, strange as it seems, is pretty clear cut and straightforward.

So glad that Kojima bucked the trend and didn't do another generic shooter like so many other of his peers did.

agreed. the war sections, especially the third one makes for a nice break every now and then.
The game is a flat out 10/10 if you aren't 10 years old.

Have you played mudrunner? I didn’t realize how similar the concepts were until recently. I’d recommend it if you’re still yearning for more deliveries when you’re done. I know I was.
