The PlayStation 5, especially in its standard edition, is a complete tragedy. It looks dated, like a render of the future made by a design student in 2006, retrofuturistic in the worst sense. Unfocused, and just plain ugly. If I had to choose one word, it would be "naive".
Meanwhile I think the detail in pic related is honestly close to design porn.

the xsex looks like it can fit anywhere. The ps5 is fucking HUGE and it's weaker. The ps5 is not consumer friendly because it needs a STAND to lay sideways and upright.
I think this design problem is why xsex has a good chance at selling more, at least in certain countries. Who wouldn't want to buy the small box to play games on?
