Who else not a boomer and will be getting disk-free version of PS5?
Who else not a boomer and will be getting disk-free version of PS5?
$699 plus tip
Depends on how much the disc version costs
I might, but then again I have like 20 boxed games and I assume I'll be playing some of them even in the upcoming years so idk yet
>Implying I will buy a PS5 at launch
Nothing worthwhile yet gonna wait it out until this generation has games I want to play
>my friend buys a ps4 during corona time because he has to stay inside and wants to play vidya
>I borrow him a bunch of games so he can play vidya
Nope, boomer it is
Isn't the Switch also disc free?
What's with all the clickbait articles about this? Who fucking cares?
I still like resale value and the ability to play games after servers have been switched off.
+50gb downloads aren’t something I’m a fan of either.
I would but most people are idiots these days and anti technology Luddites, pulling down 5g masts and against new internet advancements
Unless the PS5 is going to have a cartridge slot, that’s a useless comparison.
I won't, it's pretty clear that Sony wants to kill the second-hand market with that digital console by probably making it less expensive than the other one.
I won't be getting either version.
>buying a PS5
The absolute state of this board
Boomer here but the disk version is so ugly I might opt for the digital one. I might have to re-buy nioh2 all over again but it'll be worth it.
>THIS CONSOLE IS DISK FREE
>...OPTIONALLY
>....WITH LITERALLY ZERO DIFFERENCE IN SOFTWARE PRICE THUS NO INCENTIVE
>...ALSO ONE OF OUR PRIMARY COMPETITORS IS ALSO NON-DISK BASED
This is so fucking stupid.
I want to know first how Sony will handle backwards compatibility and the price difference between the two
>Stop giving people cheaper options!!!!
>No price
>No news backwards compatibility
>3 or 4 new exclusives, mostly remasters that could easily be released on PS4
>Hardware looks weird and bulky
I literally have no reasons to buy this shit and I have every single Sony console... including the fucking Vita.
Games will cost $70 so the price difference between the two is not that relevant
>giving up utility for maybe 50 dollars less
I don't see the point if the hard drive isn't much bigger.
Enjoy paying your games for full price for a while on the Playstation Store instead of getting the physical version where the price can drop faster mostly because of the second-hand market.
>actually admitting to being a zoomer
MODS
The fat PS3 was unironically better. The backwards compatibility wasn’t perfect but at least it worked.
is it possible to lay this thing on its side or what? I have my PS4 under my desk, can't see it standing up anywhere down there
The digital edition only exists so they can overcharge for the physical edition.
The 2nd hand market isn't needed anymore there's always at least one big sale per month on PS4 with games 50% off
Yes, it comes with a stand so you can place it on its side.
kinda feel the same but I'm trying to become a video game writer so I have to lol
>who else cancer
>Meeting in person and exchanging physical items during corona time
>Not simply logging in as a secondary user on his PS4 and allowing him to download your entire collection
Silly boomer.
>getting a PS5
No thanks
This. Theyll probably charge 450/500 for the digital version and 600 like they've always wanted to charge the ps5 for the disk version.
Honestly I may get the digital version. I'm 32 and could see this being the last console I ever buy again sadly.
