PS3 and Xbox 360 were truly the peek of console aesthetics. They just keep going downhill from there. Nintendo hasn't have a good looking machine since the Cube, but understandably it's hard to improve upon perfection.

Switch exists in many colors, but it's being officially promoted as blue+red, just like Gamecube came in silver, black, etc., but was promoted as purple.

It feels like the PS5 was designed to make Xbox look like shit but both of their designs don't work for me.
I hate the highlights of white and the curved features of the PS5. Looks hard as hell to fit into an entertainment space.

It won't. Too thin. The PS5 is going to be using shitty laptop fans again so it won't cool effectively and be loud as fuck. Meanwhile the xbox looks the way it does because they designed it for cooling and better fans.

Sony saw the form factor of the Series X is a plain, angular, understated virgin all the way back in September, so they decided to engineer themselves a Chad. Now, I don't mean VIRGIN: BAD; CHAD: GOOD. That was never the point of the meme to begin with. I simply mean Playstation 5 is huge, weirdly contorted, it's got an eye-catching color scheme, it's confidently flamboyant and it has the people talking about it.
