Here is the new trailer for those that have not see it.

Not even worth a pirate. Paper Mario has been dead to me for years.

Probably, it looks really fun.

I think it overall looks marginally better than Color Splash. The features bosses are really stupid. A case of colored pencils?
Aside from that it has some minor improvements, but to be honest, I'm not really sold.

>It's Color Splash but better
Eh...

I’ll probably buy it, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy with it.
The trailer honestly made me feel worse, especially after playing Bug Fables

just gonna watch someone stream it from beginning to end on Twitch

If I can get it for 30 bucks or less maybe.

Why are you going to buy it then? Why not play something else?

There's a story, there's characters with personalities, the graphics are nice, the combat system looks fun.
My biggest problem is no experience from battles, that could make the game boring as fuck.

Because there’s nothing else to play

You could play an old game or look for something else? If your standards are so low that you're willing to play something that you're not really interested in, you could probably do better.

>Sticker Star 3.0

hard pass for me

It's a step in the right direction but the combat looks like it will get repetitive real fuckin fast

Nope.avi

Color Splash was slightly better than Sticker Star and this will be slightly better than Color Splash.
At this rate we'll have another truly great Paper Mario in about 20 years.

We have one now
It’s called Bug Fables

Coincidentally Miyamoto should be dead by then.

>More paper mario arts and crafts
That battle system better be fucking good.

It's shit.

It's not.

It looks like it'd be fun for about 2 hours at most, and then you wish you'd just have an "solve this puzzle for me" item so you can get it over with and go back to exploring the level or world some more.

The new trailer just confirmed all of my doubts and made it clear that all of the half decent changes are just half-assed lip service.

Nope.

My favorite Paper Mario villain is Colored Pencils.

>dude toads lmao
Nah

>Bobby
O.O

I actually don't know everything except the battle system looks great, the boss battles look even worse than regular battles and for some reason they've just made them inanimate objects rather than an actual character.

The fucking toads again?

No. Xenoblade and P5R will keep me busy.

Where would you place Origami King on this, based on your impressions thus far?

idk it really reminds of the old school games with the environments and characters but it looks like they kinda dropped the ball on the bosses

The old locations were a lot of unique. This just seems to be generic pretty landscapes made out of paper craft. We haven't seen everything yet but none of these locations feel particularly exciting.
The bosses are atrocious but I think there are some giant papercraft monsters and not just retarded school supplies.

The trailer just cemented my choice. The partners look boring and so does the combat. Make a fucking Paper Luigi spinoff with classic gameplay.
