There's definitely going to be many more people playing it now that it's relevant again. I played it in 2018 and had no issues finding people to play with. There's a discord server for it that you can use to chat with players too

I think the new skeleton looks good, but the style of the original game is better. Like Majora's Mask vs MM3D.
