Yes, P4 has a greater focus on the slice of life stuff in its story than P5 does. Personally, I prefer the PTs on the whole, but if you want to pretend you have friends for a while then P4 is the way to go.

I have a lot of backlogs like xeno2, d5 and 3 houses but if it comes tomorrow, I'll gladly play it first.

Playing Persona 4 was probobly the most enjoyable time I have ever had playing a video game. It´s a weird mix of stuff that somehow just works.

Not if you played the dub where they were all recorded separately and some even years apart because dubs are so bad and amateurish they have to recast all the time

What are the chances the steam release will have the original japanese version as well? I swear if it's english only, it's gonna be the biggest disappointment ever for me.

P4, and P4G especially, is very different in tone and presentation from P3 and 5 in that it will have a lot of social events for no reason other than just having the characters hang out with each other. If you think of things like the beach in P5, or when they go to Destinyland or anything like that, although they may be partially just the group hanging out and having fun, they also serve to fit into the plot or to have some kind of important moment for the characters, Futaba has a monologue at the end of the beach and joins the PTs and they find out about things going wrong with Okumura in both of those instances for example. In P4, events like that not only don't end on depressing notes like that, they also will often not progress any kind of character arc or plot points at all, they exist purely for the sake of the characters having the chance to bounce off one another and have fun, which has an appeal in its own right. I don't know if I'd say they have the best chemistry necessarily, but the main thing that makes the group work in P4 is how they're presented moreso than their individual characters, seeing as they're given a lot more opportunities to just talk to each other about casual things and have fun with one another because of the laid back tone of the game, unlike P3 and 5 where the events of the plot always feel relevant.

I'm going to play the dub most likely unless it's horrible. I usually watch anime subbed but for vidya I don't care really since I don't speak Japanese ( yet planning to take classes ) I find myself accidently ending dialogue early in visual novels so I'd stick with the dub for my first run.

Small town people are friendly, what a shocker. Aside from the first group not everyone is immediately receptive to the MC. Kanji is antagonistic, Naoto is suspicious, and Rise doesn't want anything to do with them.

Ah interesting I really enjoyed the meat festival and moreso Hawaii where they mainly just hanged out and were just freinds even if it was unessicary to the plot . So I think I'll enjoy this if they have more scenes like those. I also heard every palace is like Futaba's ( confronting a uncomfortable past or truth about oneself ) but hers was one of my least favorite from P5 because it felt a bit boring. Do they improve on this concept?

I thought the Phantom Thieves had no chemistry. You'll probably like Persona 4 either way.

Persona 4 has the worst characters yet they still have some good chemistry to carry it. 3 characters were the best but had little chemistry together until spin-offs. Persona 5 is in-between, good characters and chemistry but neither excel.

Well, I would probably say I prefer Futaba's Palace to every dungeon in P4, except for maybe one, but the way it presents the characters through their dungeons is fine. Personally I prefer how they interact with their Shadows in P4, although it is a bit formulaic, as compared to how Futaba interacts with her Shadow in 5 though.

I like Teddie when he's in his human form, but don't like him otherwise. He just feels like a different character to me between the two of them. I don't mind Morgana, I'm not crazy about him, but I don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be either.
