How are you all enjoying DE? What’s the best monado replica?
Xenoblade
rudra
rudra easily.
Abyss
I just got Melia and I'm feeling real fucking smooth brained on how to play her correctly.
Bionis Shoulder is a really fantastic map but Future Connected is over before it's barely begun and the removal of skill trees and affinities really gimps your build options, especially poor Nene.
spam summon bolt
>Meyneth shrine
Kino
I said I forgot which conversation Riki says he has 11 kids, not that I disbelieve it. I think it was one of the Heart-to-Hearts.
not a h2h, after you beat the big telethia in makna forest and head back to frontier village iirc
Stack three elements, then start spamming and replacing the third one. Remember to stay in range of teammates for the element buffs, and also remember that aggro is still a thing.
What’s a good party setup or strategy for the egil fight? First time I’ve died to a story boss so far and it’s death number 3. Rolling with Melia, Riki, and Dunban.
Kk. My point was going to be that he had at most 9 biological kids, not 10, and adopted Kino and Nene to make 11.
This game is beautiful. I’m still surprised this shit was on the WII
You literally just got Final Cross for Fiora. Level it up, use her as the lead, and use Shulk and Sharla as backup with Monado Arts and Heat Bullet.
You should fire poison then make a copy of it, Ice has such a low CD you should be able to cycle it back on by the time you fire off flare
Why did monolith go so hard on this game for us. It was on the wii they didn’t have to do this
Do I HAVE to use Fiora for this fight? Not that that’s a problem.
I just used Shulk riki dunban and ignored the mechon he summons, he was down in about a minute
I'm honestly disappointed with it.
Everyone's gushing about how good the environments look but they really don't look much better than the original's.
I also hate how they retained the grass draw distance circle around the player from 2. Completely breaks immersion.
Why?
The Wii is a beefier Gamecube, which is a beefier PS2.
>Monado I
Most iconic version of the blade, since it’s the one most used outside of the original game including Smash and other Xenoblade titles. Design is simple but still manages to be super cool.
>Monado II
Upgraded version with the ability to cut Bionis life. Has an actual sword attachment and a longer handle. Not as iconic as it previous version but is still a fun looking weapon.
>Monado III
The True Monado. Ditches the red shell altogether in favor of being a pure blue sword of light. Is probably the second most iconic design given how it kills Zanza and is the NG+/legendary weapon of Xenoblade Chronicles
>Zanza Monado
The one Monado in XC Shulk can’t use, and it’s probably the most ridiculous looking one in the series. KH-tier design on this one, but given it’s wielder it makes sense it looks the way it does...
>Meyneth Monado
This one is not used by Shulk, but by Fiora as a weapon skin after her Zanza battle. It doesn’t have arts but can be split to be made into twin blades. When Meyneth dies, Zanza turns it into a boring single sword.
>Replica Monados
They aren’t as cool as the original Monados but serve their purpose since Zanza had it. Not the best, but deserve an honorable mention at least.
>Monado Replica EX/Monado REX
Basically Monado I with a steampunk look Shulk makes for FC. It gets an upgrade where it has the Monado hole but outside of that it’s just a more mechanical version of the first one.
>Malos Monado
A cool looking black scimitar Monado Malos uses in XC2 once he regains his Aegis powers. It’s one of the best-designed weapons from the game but cannot be used cause Malos can’t be used as a blade, even after all the DLC... :(
>Aegis Swords
They aren’t called Monados, but it’s still the main weapon of XC2 so it should get a spot here. All three share similar designs, with slight variations so they share one spot. It also comes with three waifus so it should get bonus points in that regard.
Man, I’ve missed Valak Mountain. Good music, easy enemies, and the silliest ice physics ever in an RPG. I had way too much fun skating around Paguls.
Also, why did I get good luck on the Ice Cabbages, but now it’s one of the Strange collectibles that’s holding me up?
The REX of course
>down in a minute
Damn I feel like I’m doing shit wrong. Maybe it cause I’m not ignoring the adds and taking them out. I get him down to around half and then he slaps me with arts seal and proceeds to one by one take my team out. Thanks for the advice hope I can beat him tonight
Normal monsters:
Bolt -> Copy -> Spam other elements
Named monsters:
Earth or Ice for defense depending on the fight -> Copy and use it for the DoT -> Bolt -> Spam other elements. Use up that first Earth or Ice you cast in a chain attack for big dick damage.
Make sure to actually use Spear Break and Starlight Kick they're good. Burst End is nice too.
You can probably skip having Water on your bar the regen is pretty weak, unless it's to counter something specific in a fight.
Same user, this is my tier list on which ones are my favorite design wise:
I > III > Malos > II > Aegis > Meyneth > Zanza > REX >>>>>>>>>>>>> Replicas.
No, but I still like the idea of encouraging you to try out Final Cross. I’m more confused at how Egil is stopping you when Gadolt is probably the hardest mandatory boss in the game. Or maybe that was just my autism that forced me to lead with Sharla fighting him.
Gadolt is just annoying since your party members inevitably get roasted on the run up to him
Hardest boss in the game is probably the Telethia in the Bionis Interior since your party keeps falling into the acid and you have to manually babysit them, and she takes fuckall damage unless you're using the Melia and Riki.
Mainly he’s trapping me in a situation where he suddenly big dick damages dunban or riki, takes one out, I revive them and then he aoe damages everyone and the person who died first dies again, and then he uses arts seal so riki can’t super boost the chain attack meter so I’m stuck at below one bar and then we all just die. Also worth noting he seems to be immune to topple so I can’t change the future of his big attacks.
There’s no run-up to the fight with him in Agniritha. I just find the Mechonis Field fight to be a neat setpiece, not really hard.
I'm not sure where this meme comes from. I never recall him being difficult before at all and only Sharla died in my most recent playthrough because bitch decided it was the perfect time to use cool off right as we were between cover
I honestly don't remember fighting him twice, haven't gotten that far yet in DE though
Welp, time to unzip the colony recruitment guide again
Is there a flow chart for Sharla and Fiora? I like those 2 better
If you’re really having that much trouble, then just playing as Shulk will probably solve everything. Build Party Gauge by killing the henchmen with Back Slash and Air Slash, block his AoEs with Monado Shield, and then just spam chain attacks.
