Is The Game Good?

Just finished Xenogear and a friend told me this game is like a spiritual successor to it. Is this true?

i havent played xenogear
xenoblade is fun, i like it

Not exactly. Xenosaga is the closest thing to a true spiritual successor, Xenoblade is a great game and a good series overall that reuses a lot of ideas from Gears, but its priorities are very, very different. I'd highly recommend it still, but don't go in expecting Gears 2. You'll be disappointed, it's more of a standard JRPG plotwise.

Yes, although the sequel is much more Gears successor, 1 was testing the waters after having gived up Saga and not thinking they'd ever get to make the perfect works. 2 (and X) are them actively trying to start the new perfect works.

>Is The Game Good?
No, it's great.

I feel it would be pretty interesting to play the series "backwards", not just story elements but there are gameplay elements that surprisingly carry over.

The one that always jumps out at me is the big dumb jump button you have in the Blade games. Well that's carry over from Gears.

Can I get some tips? I’m at egil and I’m getting my ass handed to me at level 66. He goes for the bionis cut that you have to take out his 4 Generators but I constantly die to the summoned drones. I’m using melia/Dunban/shulk and once the drones come in I basically just die.

Yes, play it

Are you using Melia as heal? If you are: don't. If you're not: switch out her or Shulk for heal. Or just try and kill the drones. I remember there being only a few.

>get to alcamoth
>finish accepting all the quests
>change time to night
