>not doing all the calculations mentally

>not planning your mental calculations in a supercomputer to ensure they are the most efficient

if a game start to make me do calculations that is when i know it became work and is no longer fun.

he is just a soldier

>not just playing and doing it on the fly and adjusting the factory until he knows the ratios to their smallest degree
Sounds like ur shit mate

>not programing the game in you brain

Pirate this game

Are you German?

You only need calcylations if you're autistic, the real fun is making a factory abomination so inefficient you need to train in pre-made iron plates and belt them half-way into the supply chain using 10 underground belts

lol robots go brrrr

never played the game so i have no idea what are you talking about, but from what i understand, the endgame is to be as efficient as possible, and that needs autistic calculations.

The endgame is stumbling across your original spaghetti and trying to figure out how it works as if it were some alien relic inexplicably chugging away in some backwater cesspool of your sprawling deranged fortress.

The end game is to launch a rocket, you're talking about post game

Fuck calculations and fuck main busses

The moment you learn what a main bus is is the moment where the magic goes away.

I only use trains.

this, there's much more in a 30 science per minute base that's a hodgepodge looks-like-a-logistics-beehive bullshit than making it right

>playing this when satisfactory exists

do americans really do this

the moment it comes back is when you force yourself to never think about organization

I did that when I first started playing. It started to get overrun by biters, so I packed what I could and moved away. Fought my way back hours later and had no idea what I was thinking with half the shit I laid out.

>its 3d so its better
Sorry but that game has far shallower gameplay.

What's a main bus? Do I just lay a conveyor belt as far as the eye can see and put up splits when I want use the item off to the side? Is that better than a train or using robots to bring them?

>2d game
>having depth

o the ironing xD

weak troll, youll get better give it a few years.

>an entire dimension
>devs arent scum
>goes on sale occasionally
B-b-b-buh muh autistic retardese depth you need a degree in virginity to use!

>worse gameplay
The only reason I play a game is for the gameplay though...

haha what if your factory was so inefficient that you periodically had to run a backpack full of materials over to another location when certain parts of your factory get backed up and it bottlenecks another unrelated part of your factory? Man that would be pretty funny.

It's a joke, not a troll. 2D games have no depth.

Sorta. Forcing yourself to use mostly trains instead of main bus is pretty fun. Also if you are trying for 1k-10k science/min you start to really design stuff differently. Mods can also change up the gameplay somewhat.

Honestly for your first playthrough I 100% recommend doing the calculations yourself. Once you have proven to yourself you can beat the game and want to do more wacky base designs, just use the factorio cheat sheet site, already has all calcs done for you for the most part. You might need to do a little yourself but not really.
