What other game gets away with a archaic as fuck online system that is so incompetent that it makes the PS2 & Xbox look more advanced?

What other game gets away with primitive movement options in something that supposed to be a "Platform Fighter" despite the movement sucking as both a platforming game and a fighter? Momentum is non-existent, platforms are hellish to move around, and grabs are so awful that punishing spammy players is needlessly more difficult than it should be.

What other game gets away with half-assed balancing that never gets touched upon in a age where online patches are not only a thing, but is a expectation? It's been 18 months since release and we still have shit like Ness, Sonic, Game & Watch, and so on being absolute cancer. Why even bother paying for NSO if the developers are clearly too retarded to offer a decent online service in exchange?

What other game gets away with the developers taking 3 to 4 months for minor balancing changes that should have been done at least on a monthly basis?

What other game gets away with BLATANT DLC privilege characters as demonstrated with 4's Cloud/Bayonetta and Joker/Hero/Terry?

What other game gets away with an asinine input buffer that completely derails control from the player because the devs were too lazy to make a competent buffer that literally every other fighter has?

What other game gets away with it's design being around spamming the same 2 safe moves over and over again that causes the "neutral" to resemble two toddlers flinging shit at each other?

Smash 4 also has better single player

i think corona is taking a big toll on smash. i mean tournaments in general but smash seemed to be really about gamers coming together there was a big idea behind sitting next to the guy you're playing.

At high level local play, no. He's good but fairly balanced.

Online, yes. He has some of the easiest combos to land in the game which all deal a crapton of damage and kill early. Playing against a good Terry is about as degenerate as playing against GNW, they stay in shield most of the game and punish you through super safe OoS strings.

As a Terry main, no. No he fucking isn't.
He loses to every zoner, he struggles against every swordie, and most of the other punchufags are faster or have more abusable gimmicks. You're stuck playing defense or footsies the entire fucking match then conditioning for an Upsmash or a Powerdunk at 120+% because that's the fucking earliest he can kill without Desperation attacks.

With those, he still needs the enemy at 100% or more, or 80% if you can catch them at the ledge.

Mario's Fsmash kills earlier than Buster Wolf and is as fast as a jab.

Terry is lower mid tier at best, and that's if you practice the everliving fuck out of him. He's even worse online, because using your confirms as confirms is impossible, the game is just too laggy, so you randomly throw in all of a combo's inputs and hope for the best. He's legitimately worse than Ryu/Ken.
