I could accept break the targets returning if we got 10 variations at least or if they allowed for stage builder to be able to make target stages

there somehow isn't a tetris stage despite music from the game being in smash since melee. that and a dr mario stage

good concept but it absolutely needed all the players to be in the same game so you can fight eachother if you see the other player

Boss battle mode with more bosses

Smash Ultimate is a 4/5 game for me, solely because they didn't bring back the best but most flawed game mode they ever designed.
It's fucking city trial but in Smash. It's brilliant. The only things it was missing was simultaneous multiplayer on the main map and allowing you to choose the end event. I'm still so fucking mad they didn't bring it back.

Better fucking UI/Menu system. Return of Coin Launcher. Return to an N64/Melee style classic mode. Add the missing levels from previous games. Variations in AI for each character. Fix the item spawn rates/bugs. Allow players to change audio without having to change the whole region settings. Allow tilts and shorthops to be mapped to buttons.

If it's not melee it will never be good. Rosterfagging is all nu-smash has.

An enhanced version of Smash Run with multiplayer compatibility would be great.

Honestly, smash run alone made 3ds much more enjoyable than ultimate, at least to me.

Better netcode. The game sold most outside Japan, so I genuinely don't understand why there isn't more consideration for non-JP players when it comes to their shitty, paid online.

I also think Samus really should have been updated, it's sad that she uses her dated Other M design. Surely Nintendo and Sakurai know that game is immensely hated.

Costume creator and custom skin support. Also mods to add custom music.
