Well, yes. The game is all about stylishly using your tools to wreck enemies. If you're just mashing buttons, you might succeed in completing the level, but it probably won't be fun.

lmao wtf

OP why are you doing this? Is your brain this damaged by e-celebs or do you think you need to falseflag to get people to talk about the game?

Maybe matthew doesn't realize that the problem of the game is not the lacking tutorial, but the fact you are doing a qte every twenty seconds and you spend more of the time dealing with setpieces and gimmicks rather than playing the actual game.

The gameplay is too high iq for your average player, he also made a similar video about bayonetta and that's an easier game to grasp. but lets not pretend Zig Forums actually plays video games

It's one dude going out of his way to take screen caps of things and post youtube videos, yes he's mentally challenged.

You have to be roughly as autistic as matt to enjoy w101

When does the P starts to ship the physical version?

I'm honestly starting to believe Matt only enjoys games because they're unique and different.

Nothing wrong with that, of course. But being that much of a hipster is making him look like a fag.

i'm not OP retard
so wonderful101 is the rick and morty of video games

I mean, I think he plays plenty of mainstream games. He just doesn't shit out videos on whatever the hot topic is of the week, he prefers to make videos and talk about stuff that is unique, but I don't think there's any hipster bias there.

>need
Does it, though?
this is just some youtuber's video, right? Not something from platinum themselves.

I dont get your point OP

Is it an enhanced version of the WiiU game or did something go wrong with the remaster?

>"The fact of the matter is... even other action games which are more they can't teach you everything about them from the beginning. For example! Bayonetta has a massive combo list of different attack strings but it doesn't make you sit down and learn them all before playing because that would be boring! You learn by playing the game. The most fun way to play is to enjoy the process as it is"

no it's a game that requires mechanical execution, careful observation of gameplay mechanics, and practice. it's not a marketable game by today's standards of impatient people looking for instant gratification and the complete upheaval of normal 3D action puts a ton of people off. i don't know what the fuck "the rick and morty" of video games is supposed to mean but tw101 requires too much from your average player to care and i'm going to hazard a guess the cartoony presentation isn't very desirable.

Nah, it's not quite at Funko Pop tier just yet.

This. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the game because it kept throwing minigames, QTEs, and platforming sections every mission.

nothing went wrong with remaster aside from the covid pandemic delaying physical copies, Zig Forums just loves to shitpost because they have nothing better to do with their worthless time, not even play video games

Dear God why is that an hour long

Uh, OP, sorry sweetie but your thread is cringe.

I imagine you watched the video and are offended at his claims?

This is very wrong and you know it. There are far more normal combat scenarios than mini game sections and aside from the infamous 6-B which gets destroyed by a later unlockable morph they all play fine. The number one complaint with people trying to get into the game is the isometric camera and the Wonder Liner weapon switching mechanic.

Nah, the Demon Souls video made it pretty clear. He said that Souls combat is repetitive, and that all the bosses feel the same. DeS wasn't like that, and thus it was the best one of the franchaise.

That's incredibly, unbelievably stupid. It's like he forgot the games are all about the exploration, the level design, the secrets and subsequent runs where you get to try out different tactics and routes through the story. He's clearly putting up being 'different' over basically everything else. The dumbest part was where he said his favorite boss in Bloodborne is Micolash, JUST because he's different. He's smart but he's a crazy hipster as well.

i'm so glad this game is finally multiplat so everyone can see how utterly mediocre it is. easily the worst game i ever owned on wii u. jokes on me for letting Zig Forums meme me into buying one of their "epic approved games"

Nope, didn't actually read what OP's text says either. Cope.

Ah, if it isn't OP from the underage shitposting division, also known as WONDER FAGGOT!

I also bought by reccomendation of a friend when it released on wii u.
It was literally too hard for me.

Somebody make a real W101 thread. My IP is range blocked from starting threads and I need to complain about 002-C.

Not our fault you're retarded.
You have no idea what "mediocre" means, play more games.

cringe

It covers everything, but he encourages only watching what you're having trouble with and then ignoring the video so you csn discover things yourself.

>the moment i tried t draw something with my right analog is the moment i knew that this game will be uninstalled
what a shitty way to implement this mechanic
how was it implemented in the wiiu anyway? touch?

Attached: rage chen.gif (209x193, 109.06K)

If the guide succeeds in making you have fun then what's the problem?

He made another one?
Lol what an irish faggot, has to do 5000 videos on one game AND STILL CAN'T SELL IT TO PEOPLE.
Next time take lessons from Mandalore and Sseth, irish cunt.

It seemed very natural to me. What is your issue with it?
It was implemented the same way on the Wii-U, with the option to also use touch, yes. Everyone defaulted to using the stick because it's better.

He didn't say Souls combat is repetitive, he' said it's simplistic. Demon's and Dark are the only games in the series that are about exploration. DaS2 and DaS3 went full retard and leaned too hard on its shallow combat mechanics. That's the issue with Souls games when they forget to provide great exploration and memorable locales. The combat in Souls is so brain dead simple it's enough to carry the game by itself. And the fact that every boss has become a Flamelurker is a valid point. His point about Demon's was that it had a more complete experience. It had gimmick memorable bosses but it also had normal combat scenario bosses like Flamelurker and Old King Allant.

That being said I agree with him to some extent. Even though I prefer Dark to Demon's his point about bosses is valid. From really needs to recapture the sense of adventure and observation in boss fights instead of relying on it being a roll fest. Monster Hunter's combat system shits on Souls in every way and Monster Hunter doesn't try to pretend to be an RPG. Souls needs to go refocus on providing a complete and varied experience because the combat cannot carry it. Gimmick bosses are not inherently bad but they can easily be bad if handled poorly. Dragongod is shit and so is Bed of Chaos but Judicator and Maiden Astrea were great.

Both stick and touchpad, but nobody used the touchpad. Why can't you draw a circle?

I was within the first 10,000 backers and I still haven't even got a shipping confirmation email for my fucking physical copy
fuck platinum all their games suck anyway

You think he's actually Irish? Retard.

Doom Eternal

Have you never played Okami before? Drawing with the stick took me maybe a minute to get down and now I find myself wishing more games put the right stick to use as something more than just a camera. Running through the levels and rescuing civvies and setting up Multi Unites is so damn satisfying.

wow... cute

>Zig Forums shits on Bayonetta for obnoxious QTEs, out of place minigame bullshit, and dumb gimmicks
>but rushes to defend W101

Sorry poor baby can't understand there's a pandemic sweeping the world, you'll get your video toys soon enough

I received an email on the 11th informing me that my copy shipped.

I don't give a fuck about dead niggers and chinks
I gave money to a company and I expect a return because I'm not a fucking cuck

Most people acknowledge the faults of some of the mini games though, stop pretending otherwise. Just bring up 006-B.

Should have shipped on the 11th. Check your email.

I like both.

what backer number are you
why haven't I got a fucking email yet

Gimmick bosses are good literally once. Once you figure it out, the next playthrough they're just a mild annoyance that's over with in a few seconds, a few tries if it's stupid like the bed of Chaos or Micolash.
>Demon's and Dark are the only games in the series that are about exploration
Bloodborne too, and it's better than both of those two. Dark Souls 3 has exploration as well, but it's more bland than anything that came before except 2. This thing about a complete experience is stupid. They ARE complete experiences, or at least Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne are. They just focus on different things to make up their package. Lore, Story, Exploration, Replay Value and Combat. It's not a hack slash alright, but speaking like the bosses are the most imporant part of the games is retarded and the kind of thinking that got us Dark Souls 3. I stand my ground, Demon's is different and that doesn't make it good. Bloodborne got the perfect balance right.

He literally is.

Somwhere around 4000.

lol.....................................

This type of reaction is the reason he made the video. There is nothing inherently wrong with the Wonder Liner, you just need a bit of practice. Also, this is the reason creativity in games is dead. For as much as Zig Forums complains no one takes risks anymore, the moment one does most are up in arms about why the game isn't like everything else. If you didn't like it, that's perfectly fine and that's your prerogative, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it.

This is now a XBC2 thread.

It's like the GamingBrit. Shits on quick time events but acts like in Yakuza it's okay because it's "crunchy". Every reviewer has it's own little flavor of bullshit, you just have to read between the lines.

>game exclusive to console praised nonstop
>ported to a larger audience
>massive negative reviews and poor reception
Every time. Starving makes the best spice.

literally just did a circular motion with the right stick and it drew the circle on the far left edge of the screen when i tried to punch the train
i did and that's what i was hoping for
the difference is that in okami the brush moves with your analog, but here the midgets keep on moving in the direction my analog is facing instead of replicating the movement
difficult to explain but you played the game and know what i mean, kinda like those mobile runner game where you decide if left or right but the guy runs by himself

>game exclusive to console praised nonstop
It got a lukewarm reception on the Wii U too.

the idea is great, but it was better implemented in okami and 101 just feels clunky for me

Cope

Like I said, they can be good or bad depending on implementation. The value they bring is also up to the player. I don't know about you but every boss being a roll sequences gets very tiring, very quickly. I see your point in subsequent playthroughs but if every boss is going to be a roll fest that can have an equally negative impact on multiple playthroughs. Sometimes it's good to get that short gimmick boss as a change of pace, especially if it's handled well. Bed of Chaos is garbage but I don't see anything worth with Micolash. But if you hate gimmick bosses just for the very fact that they are gimmick bosses there's not much I can say.

>game exclusive to console praised nonstop
>massive negative reviews
game did about the same both times don't know what you're on about
it was only praised by its few fans
