I finally played this game recently. Zig Forums made it seems like it was super left-wing based on the cherry picked screenshots people keep posting. It turns out literally every ideology is heavily exaggerated in the game and poked fun at. Why does Zig Forums get so assblasted over it?

This is wrong. Dumb people will always complain, but people driven by emotions are more susceptible to lash out when confronted. This suggests left people are less likely to enjoy a game if it doesn't appeals to their beliefs. For this reason, it makes perfect sense that right wing devs would prefer to not express their political beliefs in the media they're trying to sell.
