Whats your gaming GPU Zig Forums and how is it holding up? Thinking of upgrading any time soon?
I have exactly the one in the op.
It's doing just fine, but will probably get a 3080 by the end of the year together with the rest of the new system.
Got a 2080s (yes I know, meme series) and it's doing fine for now. Probably grab a 3080 depending on how the economy goes (and the compatibility of my motherboard)
1060 3gb, waiting for 3060(?)
any product that says GAMING on it makes me cringe
1070 gang. Still on the fence about upgrading. Everything I personally play is doing just fine so probably going to ride it out longer.
Same here. I was heavily considering upgrading to a 2060 but I figure there's no good reason not to just save that money and put it towards the next generation instead.
But boy do I wish I would've gotten the 1060 6gb.
>can't play ray tracing minecraft
Realistically, if I were to get a 3080 series GPU would I need to upgrade my CPU too? Currently running a i7-9700k 8 core
GTX 670, surprised it's still good enough to allow me to play games like Hitman 2 or Kingdom Come at a decent framerate without having to lower the settings so much that it has a noticeable visual impact. Metro Exodus was the first game too demanding for my config.
I always upgrade "everything" at the same time after like 6 years and yes It'll be this year.
Gtx 980. The fan bearings are slowly going bad. I just hope it survives long enough to get a 3080.
yeah playing at 1080p 144hz
I mostly play old shit since I'm either catching up on titles (new PC in nearly a decade) or playing f2p shit
my country has insanely overpriced hardware, when I bought it half a year ago it seemed to be the best bang for buck
980ti, will probably upgrade to a 3080 this year as I’m running 1440p 144hz
HD 7850 - EIGHT YEARS \o/
Fuck this piece of shit, but it runs games on low at least.
I'm coasting on my GTX 1070 until the RTX 3070 Super is released. It plays well enough at 1440p but depending on the game, can't hit the 100+ fps mark at my preferred settings.
1080ti prob good for another 3 years
Looking to finally swap my OP pic 1070 version for a 3080. Unless it's like $900 then fuck my life
1050 4gigs still holds up strong, all games they showed is just indie retro shit, why would you upgraydd?
How is this for vidya?
Sapphire Radeon Nitro RX 580 8GB
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor 16GB RAM
Because even 2014 games struggle to run with that card at a reasonable framerate
At 1080p, yes but you'd have to upgrade to more IPC/clock speed and not just MOAR CORES.
At 1440p or above, you're still good.
1080ti. Haven't seen it struggle, except with rdr2
1080Ti - going to be interesting what sort of performance I will be getting with Cyberpunk especially with my aging 6700k
It'll definitely be over $800 user and you know it.
Yes, just upgrade and upgrade and upgrade. Wouldn't want to miss out on 6 frames, would you? You can't afford to change one setting from ultra to high and ruin your immersion!
Very low budget
What is your CPU/RAM?
Oh sweet, just got a 1440p monitor. Pic related
nvidia quadro 4000
2080ti, holding up fine. Will consider an upgrade mid-gen.
I bet you pay for playstation plus
You'll benefit from overclocking your CPU if you want to push high frame rates with a theoretical 3080.
a 2060
I never money to build a computer until recently, so gaming with it for 1080/60FPS is very nice
2080 super. It's alright. Wanted to break the bank on an 80 series card for a few gens but the ti's are incredibly pricey. Super is a bit of a meme but my last card was an early 1070 and before that a 970. Was on an i7 920 since it came out, shit was on it's last legs before i upgraded. Planning on selling my 2080+1070+970 to purchase a 3080ti when it comes out. Shit's gonna be expensive as fuck.
I wouldn't say "know". The 2080 was $749.
1080ti with a meme cooler. Running well at 3440x1440 but doesn't always hit the 120hz mark. I think my 6700k is bottlenecking some games. Might upgrade to Zen 3 and 3000 series Nvidia sometime next year if the price/performance is reasonable.
I have an evega 1060 gtx and as I play in a 1080 screen at 60 FPS it’s still holding up great with my i7 4970k
In a year or two I’ll make a whole new rig.
Honestly as long as it's over 60 I can deal with it. 144fps is the ideal obviously but even the most demanding current games (except RDR2 obviously) run at 144fps on my rig anyway so I'll likely hold off until mid gen to upgrade.
same normally, but for hardware I think it's valid.
For example NVidia's Quattro GPUs are absurd powerhouses for rendering n stuff, but weak gaming cards
Not upgrading due to carona tax atm plus new cards in september/october
Same here. I also only play at 1080p 144hz so my 1070 is holding up really well in that regard as well. I can't play new new games on ultra but it's not a huge loss.
I have a 1070ti and I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon, even if the 3000 series comes out. For one, I'm still using 1080p monitor and I'm content with it. And secondly, I haven't been gaming that much anyway.
i have one of those 1080s it was okay, replaced it with a 5700xt for the full amd build i did the other day. can't wait for the new stuff later this year to replace that too.i have an upgrade problem. i love upgrading
I'll probably go from a 1060 to a 3070.
2080 im ok for this gen
1080ti
It's pretty good, considering if I'm gonna get the 3080ti or skip another GPU gen. The fact that a proper GPU costs more than what an average person makes here in a month doesn't help.
