I had an idea of turning TLATOSM into live action tv series. You literally just have to replace ducks with humans and you get a super compelling script for an action-adventure drama. HBO would 10/10 it.

Feels like it'd just be a typical movie adaptation type of thing.
There's no one setting, and it takes place over a long period of time, so it'd just skip between many different settings and time periods with little continuity, and the gameplay is the same thing you'd come up with for any movie adaptation, there's nothing inherent in the story that feels like a specific gameplay would be more suitable.

Actually, how about a game only set in Klondike where the setting is fleshed out and you get to explore the region, that could be interesting

Europe has a better history with Duck comics where you can buy them at your local grocery store, newspaper stands, anything that sells office supplies, etc.

It doesn't need to be a video game and especially not by From Software.
A lot of what makes The Life and Times so good are things I feel like are best kept more mysterious. I wouldn't want anyone to even try to capture the style of the comics and try to recreate the beatiful things Scrooge must've seen and what he has gone through.

I know it's owned by Disney and will eventually be milked dry but I don't want to even think about that right now.

Pole here, loved Don Rosa's work, fantastic drawing style with plenty of background jokes. Still haven't read it all, I should probably buy a hard copy.

Disney is very, very careful with Rosa. They have basically cut all contact with him and his stories are only being reprinted because they print money. Nobody else comes close to his skills with the pen and ducks, while many have tried.
