It doesn't bother me that much, but pointlessly changing Boletaria from a practical medieval fortification to a decorative gothic structure ala BB or DaS is probably indicative of there being more changes that deviate from the original game for the sake of it.

The sky saturated with light was a nice aesthetic touch, but the most cool thing was the reflection of light on the armor and shield, what in the remake is completely lost.


Surely the remake will have nice graphics, but they have completely misunderstood the setting. This is not Leà Monde or something, Boletaria has not been abandoned for centuries, only for a few years.

Not so much soulless as much as missing the point. The game will still be great, but the added details and atmosphere kill some areas for me.

4-2 in the trailer though looked nice and I have high hopes for most of the interior and dark areas like Stonefang, Tower of Latria and Valley of Defilement.

to clarify a bit, it's sort of like sometimes you will be walking around in the game and notice basically everything is the same fucking color. Older games do better color palettes or whatever. The colors 'pop' more.

This stuff can runs on PS4 too without a doubt. It's DD updated with the Blodeborne / Dark Soul3 engine. it's a good commercial move, but I don't think it will shows anything about the ps5 power.

That being said, I think we can all agree, that the healing system from Demon's Souls should NOT return and be replaced with a Estus-esque system of limited heals.

One of them can be emulated at 1080p 60fps right now. The other can't.

to me removing the piss green and bloom is logical considering all games from that era were colored like that and if it were made in a modern time it would be colored different
