About Next-gen Consoles specs so far

So, as was confirmed the specs of both next-gen consoles, Zig Forums and /g/ came to a consensus about what the specs of Xbox SeX and PS5 will look like compared to PC, here it is

Xbox SeX
>Has a GPU similar to a RTX 2080S but with better clocks and a bit more TF, it was confirmed that xbox can reach 14.2TF if overclocked so it leaves it somewhere between RTX 2080S and sometimes stronger than 2080Ti.
>Has full AMD RDNA 2 technology
>Has a CPU similar to a Ryzen 7 3700x, has 3.8GHz but can reach up to 4.2GHz of clock if overclocked, has as much cores and threads as it

PS5
>GPU is somewhere between a 5700xt and a RTX 2060S, it can do ray tracing, but at cost of graphical fidelity and frame rates this one was hard to solve due to variable frequency, but that was the general consensus
>Only has partial RDNA 2 tech
>The CPU is similar to a i5-7400, Just like the i5, the PS5's CPU has 2.8GHz of base clock and can be overclocked up to 3.5GHz.

And well, other things like memory bandwitch,RAM,and internal storage are all similar between the 2 consoles, the only thing that PS5 has that deserves attention is the SSD in which will give very fast loading times, but it seems microsoft will give a conference in august to explain the xbox velocity architeture, so, it's early to say something about the SSDs right now.

So Zig Forums, What do you think?

>Zig Forums

You would be impressed on what kinds of things can come out of Zig Forums, there are real geniuses there.

bewump

Yes, we know the SeX is going to totally smoke the PS5. No need to rub it in sonybro faces

And none of it matters because neither can fit in my coffee table

A 30 cm box can't fit in your coffee table?

Big if true

can xbox come out and officially support kb + mouse?
they would introduce console players to whole new genres

I'm not talking about my primary coffee table I'm talking about my coffee/tv table

There's already rumours of a windows mode on it, but i think the xbox one x already has kb+m support.

Looking at specs alone is not going to give you the full story. The whole pipeline to stream data is much more complex than CPU, RAM, GPU or SSD Time. You need to have a full view of the data stream to really assess how well the components work well together.

I'm thinking it will end up being 2060 level performance and will struggle to hit 4k 30.

Xbox will win coz M$ can afford to sell at a loss and undercut ps5

>Zig Forums in 2020
Literally what the fuck is this garbage ass comparison?

AMD has said both consoles use their latest RDNA. Find a source for "partial RDNA 2". Doesn't exist.

>It's like an old i5 lmao
They are literally both zen 2 processors at different speeds. Where the fuck does an i5 even enter the equation?

How the fuck do you look at a CPU that hits every spec checklist of the 3700X but underclocked, ergo a 3700, and imply it's better than the 3700x through a 'overclock' that doesn't happen? The XSX uses locked speeds. You can turn SMT on and off but to call that an overclock is straight up lying.

Microsoft and Sony have both put out hardware deep dives and talked about what you can and can't do and you come out with this shit?

Am I just being epic troled?

Series X is going to oshiterate PS5 on a technical level lmao

Yes, ps5's GPU will have partial RDNA 2, like a 1.5 version of it, Xbox SeX will have things like dedicated RT cores, mesh shaders, updated vrs, directML, etc, while ps5 doesn't have any of it

Also in terms of raw power, the ps5's CPU is not stronger than a i5-7400, it's already discussed and confirmed, you can take better performance from it using software and optimizing, but that's it.
and the xbox sex CPU is extremely close to a 3700x, in terms of technical performance, just search it up, and yes, the clock rate of both parts are locked, but microsoft execs already gave info that they can be overclocked, so they may remove that restriction in the future.

>May offer a 60fps mode

You're honestly fucking retarded if you think they have different CPU's.

>Xbox one is more powerful than ps4
>Xbox one is faster than ps4

no

That's huge

i don't get it

you can deduce from the context that by "speed" he's referring to clock rate and thus stating that historically higher clocks haven't been nearly enough to make up for significantly lower cu count and that you shouldn't expect different in the future.

Oh, it was hard to tell due to the lack of context

it's already showing, lots of games confirmed running 4k 30fps on ps5.

You're falling for obvious bait dude

>bait

Wrong.
With the SSD PS5 has basically 1tb of slow ram.
PS5 can load assets instantly, much much faster than SeX so they can use the gpu power more efficiently.
Poorly optimized multiplats will look the same at worst but PS exclusives will make SeX look like an old gen console.

>better than the RTX 2080S
Is this the new meme? NVIDIA themselves confirmed that their MaxQ laptops are better than next-gen consoles, and that's not even factoring in the massive thermal throttling both the ps5 and xbox sex will have, and do not give me that BS about MS being "master engineers" both the OG xbox and Xbox 360 had glaring problems that caused the death of the consoles themselves, and the PS5's SSD is not going going to magically improve performance either.

>muh SSD again
It amazes people still swallow this shit generation after generation.

MaxQ laptops are better than ps5 hardware, not xbox, as far as was shown, MaxQ ran UE5 at 1440p with higher frame rates than ps5, and it's discussed that the Rtx2080U are equivalent to a 1080Ti with ray tracing.
