If Nintendo doesn't announce today that they're going to announce the ARMS character tomorrow, I don't know what the heck they're thinking. Tommorow is the anniversary so it wouldn't make sense any other day, but they need to announce it beforehand. They're really drifting into the ballpark lately.

I don't think it matters, brud. Chances are ARMS wasn't their first pick to lead the pass, but Corona complications made them change plans to something first-party. It's why they had nothing to show us when they first revealed it to be someone from ARMS. The timing now is just happenstance.

I would assume it would be tomorrow, as June 16th is likely when Nintendos E3 direct would have been given they always do it last during E3 season, and the character was likley part of that direct. The greater direct is likely delayed and parts have been broken off to upload by themselves on their youtube channel

That Paper Mario trailer was very likely part of the E3 direct, we also see a few indie games that would have been in the indie sizzle reel they always do
Expect the reveal to be dropped sometime this week, i am thinking tomorrow, with the character coming maybe the same day (like 6 hours after the reveal or something) or a week later.
I dont expect it to be a livestream, just a full video drop like the last mini direct in March.
Personailly I wonder how well FP2 has sold already, ive not purchased it yet and probs will not until the first two characters are revealed. I think Blyth hype deflation will have hurt sales, if Fighter #5 was some megatone i think a lot more will have already purcahsed FP2.
