First 15 hours are fun, then it loses all magic and your realize you're doing the same shitty chores over and over again for 100+ hours.

Only games you mentioned that I'm personally excited for are Psychoanuts 2, BotW2, Hitman 3, R&C (maybe), Axiom Verge 2 (maybe), and Eternal Cylinder looked kind of cool I suppose. No idea why the fuck you'd be excited for Starfield and TES VI when literally nothing is known about them, even Elden Ring is pushing it with how little information is out there; same with MP4 and SMTV for that matter.
Also you can fuck right off with Hytale in the list.

in my opinion, the early game was the weakest part. It didn't get good until at least 5 hours in. It was a bit of a rollercoaster after that point, but the high points were extremely high for me. Then again, I've always enjoyed exploration and collecting things in vidya as I'm a fan of both adventure games and platformers so BotW scratched both itches for me.

Exoddus was highly rushed and is supposedly not at all representative of the creative vision Lorne Lanning and Sherry McKenna had in mind for the series. Soulstorm is supposedly going to be representative of their original vision and will be considered the new canon from which the finished Oddworld quintology will be based on. Of course it remains to be seen if there will even be more Oddworld games after Soulstorm. And the game does look a little rough around the edges. But it will be interesting if nothing else.

You are a retard. It wouldn't matter if any of those points were the case, but it IS competing with Exoddus (which isn't as good as Oddysee anyways; it's just Oddysee^3) and that's still not the point. It just doesn't look good. The new designs don't look good, this isn't about graphics. I don't want it to be that way, but it is. You are so starved that you're worried. I want the best for Lorne but I honestly feel like he can't make his vision come true, he's still only made 2 games in the entire Oddworld Quintology and is supposedly "rebooting" the entire series to do it all again. Lorne's gonna be dead before that happens if this sad-but-true track record is the case. I don't want it to be the case, but I don't like this new direction and Lorne can't do Abe's voice anymore either.

I loved Oddworld as a kid, specifically Abe's Exoddus. And the way each screen was drawn, how the lighting and shadows were done, this all pulled me literally inside its world no other game probably did (although Rayman 2 came close).
As I anticipated Soulstorm, I started reading up on a lot on games.
The message and seeting were werid and interesting when I was 6-10, but now I see the lefting undertones and it puts me off.
I do understand that unhigned corporations are evil, but I still can't shake off this lefting 'artsy' (in a bad way) feeling.
God I hate what politics have done to me, I've only been interested in them for 4-5 years, didn't even know what the left or the right were when I was 21.
Now I can't enjoy shit because it's hard not to project my own lens on everything (even if that projection turns out to be true I'd still rather this shit didn't put me off as I didn't know shit about the world).
Please let Soulstorm be good.

Soulstorm footage actually interested me since it looks much better visually than New and Tasty, even if I'm not sure on the gameplay yet. I'll admit it got me seeing him going to take off the stitches as well.
