i like fighting Gael but he suffers from the same balancing issues that arise when you give the player and enemies ridiculously fast options and stamina regen, as with most bosses he can be cheapened out by dodge rolling like a retard every time he attacks
ultimately OoK provides a much better satisfactory outcome for the player

I'm not a fan of Gael because as the final boss of the series, he could have been something unique and memorable. When I got to the area and saw him, I thought they were setting up one of those non-fight scenarios, in this world of Gods and flame, it ends with two failures of life fighting over what scraps of power remain in a burned up world. This idea was shattered as soon as he threw the pygmy body at the camera and it turns into the standard roll then punish opening affair that every other boss in the game was. It was boring and done, hell his arena is more interesting than him because they never really did the whole 'giant hilly area' thing before.
