I played Xrd locally in a pretty big area in NA and online for about 3 years. I think I encountered one Ram for every like 25 people playing almost any other character except Bedman.

As opposed to Baiken, who nobody plays at all?

A lot more Baikens playing Rev 2 than Rams, but I agree that if they put Baiken in you're going to get fags like Max going OMG BAIKEN and then drop the game after a few days or they'll just not buy it at all despite going on and on about Baiken.

Well general player statistics tell something different. But Ram is pretty uncommon in tournaments because of how she is. So I'm not surprised by that. First time I went to my local nobody knew how to fight me since they never face Ram normally either. so maybe she is a lot more uncommon among "real players", who knows.

She'll probably fit better in strive overall since she never had gatling to begin with.

I'm conflicted on this game I want to get it but I know it's going to be a dead discord tranny game since it's tailored for casual play and will inevitably heamorrhage the new player base after a couple of months and vets keep voicing their distate for it so I doubt they'll stick. Is playing training mode for 90% time and begging on discord for matches worth it or should I keep my money? Does anyone have experience with dead games?

Yes, I play plenty of dead games through matchmaking on discord. It's anything difficult unless you to just pump n dump games like moba's and shit. Strive wont die too quick so regardless you don't have to worry about your user Zig Forums status on whether you have discord or not.

I understand that gg was the largest anime fighter for a while. I've been concerned just because of consistent negative talks about the game's simplification and bad qol decisions (new player so no big deal for me). I saw my local scene die with sfv so I don't doubt that could happen with this game since it's a similar scenario.
