Because it’s supposed to look like an oasis as much as it can. That’s what you associate most with a mirage, after all. I was kind of on the fence about drawing a pool of water on his chest or wherever, so I chose blue as a secondary color. The leaves on his head were also meant to resemble a stereotypical genie ponytail, but I’m not so sure it ended up working. It’s frustrating because those come to a point anyway.

Maybe make the leaves circle the dome head with one under the things chin curled a bit to look like a beard. And then take one of those domes needles, bend it to look like a ponytail, and replace those leaves on the top so it stops looking like a juicy grapefruit.

WoFF is the best the Final Fantasy to come out in the last decade. I really didn't expect to like the twins as much as I did. Monster collecting and a genre deconstructing story line was such a good combination. I hope that trend with games like the Bravely series and Octopath doesn't end.
