I hate that xb2 completely dropped the thread of the suffering blades go through by having their memories reset every time theyre bonded. The explanation that it was necessary for them to be able to take in new data over time only answers why its a thing and doesnt deal with any of the emotional fallout that drove multiple characters

It's a phenomenal sequel that covers a lot of the flaws of 1 (and 1 covers a lot of 2's flaws).

I dont think it was ever dropped. Story ran through with it from chapter 1 till 9 while 10 was just a bunch of other bombshells

It's less that it's dropped, and more that they handwave it away by arguing that it's just the same as humans dying, and that memory thing isn't really an issue if good people are in charge instead of Indol.
Which...is almost worse than if they just forgot about it entirely. I really love Xenoblade 2 but the way the fundamental issues with the Blade system were just brushed away was genuinely terrible writing.

It's good but it's quite the tone shift after XB1. If aggressively goofy anime shit bothers you, 2 probably isn't for you.

It is good but takes a lot longer to finally get good IMO, battle system is also a lot better BUT it also takes a goooood while to get good, when everything clicks, it´s fucking amazing.

Story/World and Endgame-wise I still preffer XB1.

Because pneuma is the most powerful of the three. She can make imagination reality. Aka do whatever she wants. Alvis could only do that once zanza was dead, and malos had a shit driver who gimped him pretty hard. If pneuma had a monado like alvis and malos, it wouldnt really change much. Plus monados can look however they want.

It is a Monado. All a Monado is, is a sword created by the trinity processor that can alter reality through ether from the conduit. Mythra can see visions of the future and Malos can use the Monado Arts but neither of them fully realize the full power because they aren't fully awakened like Ontos. Only at the end when you get Pneuma's ability to change reality is she finally at that level but without the millennia of experience.

Since Klaus's "evil half" was sent to another universe and became Zanza, do you think maybe Galea also has an "evil half" that'll be the big bad of 3, or is Meyneth her entire self?
