At least this is what Fang comes to believe after they're plagued by nightmares and eventually waki g hallucinations that grow in intensity and frequency as the game progresses.
Their friends obviously don't believe them and intend to enjoy what little time they have left. Depending on the player's choices throughout the game, Fang will either conclude that it's all in their head and commit suicide or resort to a school shooting to save their friends' souls.
