Not at all. I stopped playing DMC5 and AC7 when I realised they were both great, then I bought them. Did the same for Kenshi, Terraria, Risk of Rain, CrossCode, a bunch of games really.
If I didn't like it, I just stop playing anyway and I don't have to worry about having gone over an arbitrary refund period.

I get the experience of playing a game without the severe anger associated with the price tag. If you make a pile of shit and I buy it, I will tell my friends it's garbage, not to even play it, and they won't even pirate it for a try. If I pirate a great game, at the WORST I will tell my friends that it's amazing, and if it's within my budget at the moment, I'll definitely be eager to purchase it and associated DLC/Expansion Packs/Etc. The ultimate anti-pirate tool is making a game good enough that players have a desire to support on their own. The more concerned you are with pirates potentially screwing you out of money, the more your game starts to sound like a scam that's not worth the money.

many games run poorly, the specs recommended don't reflect performance, many games are overpriced or simply just not fun to play.
why the fuck should i pay £50 for a video game that is likely to barely function, give me possibly no enjoyment when i can try it out for free, make a judgement and then consider if it's worth my money later on?
