I'm too scared to

Am a brainlet who doesn't want to take any risks.

>needing to OC your pc to play games
the absolute state of PC fags

I LOVE BSOD AND CRASH AND SHIT BRO

I would if I knew how to.

>doing this with Summer right around the corner

are you mad?

I have a laptop and don't want it to burst into flames

>he doesnt have an AC

Of course I do.
My HD 7850 runs as fast as a HD7870!
What a steal!

I intended to when I built my PC but nothing really pushes my GPU at 1080p so I don't have a reason to. I'll probably have to once the new gen of consoles comes out

get MSI Afterburner and use the built in Scanner, it's gonna calculate a safe spot for OC so you dont have to do it manually

my GPU is already OC'd

>laptop
dude no

I'd rather not anthropomorphize my hardware

TOTALLY STABLE OC BRO I SWEAR

cope brainlet

I do though. I just don't OC my CPU because I don't like messing around with voltage

If you have an Nvidia 10 series GPU or above, you literally cannot break it with software overclocking.
The GPU itself is the only one that can control it's voltage now. Everything dangerous has been locked away.
Nvidia even made their own automatic overclocking API for noobs. Download MSI Afterburner and press Auto-OC. It won't be the best PC you can get, but it's still an OC.

why does afterburner still have a voltage slider when it doesn't do anything? Or does AMD still let you mess with it on their cards?

AMD gives you this.
0 is default, you can lower it to -50% or raise it to +50%
I don't really know what this does.

Pre-10 series Nvidia GPUs still exist, you retard.
Also AMD GPUs still allow to fuck around with the voltage.

think that's power limit, voltage wouldn't be displayed as a % value

wow, whats with the unnecessary insults, user. had a rough day?

When someone's being retarded, you call them a retard. I think it's a pretty simple concept.

>open afterburner
>card defaults to less than 100% power usage
is that normal?

This. Works really good and quite honestly is probably more accurate than most retards pretending they have a stable manual OC.

>needing to OC your GPU

I don't. Also I live in Florida.

YEAH I COPE WITH MY RTX2080

>he doesn't OC his soundcard

There isn't a single modern GPU with a cooler that can't keep it below 70 degrees. There is no reason not to overclock. All of them even offer you the software to do it with. It's idiot proof.
I wish CPU overclocking was as simple.

Already have m8. And it's liquid cooled

when do you realize that it isnt stable?

why not OC so you have a 2080S?

Imagine not OC'ing your keyboard, what are you doing, you got fucking Wieners for fingers or what?

When you run into problems that you don't find on stock clock speeds.

>he doesn’t OC his power supply

such as?

Attached: Imogen_Poots.jpg (1000x1398, 180.68K)

>he doesnt OC his USB ports

Oh wow, now i get 2 more fps in fortnite, thanks op.

My keyboard has the new 3 Base FingerBlast Technology so I don’t have to OC it, pleb

I UV+UC my card to make it ice cool since I only have a 60 fps monitor and I never play any games that go anywhere near that low.

when you run a benchmark and it crashes or starts behaving weird. Even doing a manual OC is mostly idiot proof.
>crank power and temp limit to max, turn your fans up as high as you can tolerate
>gradually increase clock speed in increments, run a benchmark or game that 100% utilizes your GPU
>if it doesn't crash or start stuttering go up another increment
>whenever it finally crashes go back to your previous increment, that's your max clock speed
>repeat the exact same thing for memory speed

even when it does crash it does not give you a blue screen or bork your PC, it usually just crashes the benchmark/game your running. The retards in here talking about BSOD are thinking of CPU overclocking which can completely freeze everything if you're dumb, sometimes forcing you to clear your bios settings and restart from the beginning

>he doesn't OC his mic

Attached: Untitled.png (452x334, 6.77K)

I went from 56fps avg to 65fps avg in Hunt Showdown (4k).
Imagine not OCing.

>KSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"HEY GUYS CAN YOU HEAR MEKSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>30db
>it echos everything you say into your headphones at 1 billion decibels

Attached: 8bf.jpg (600x600, 19.83K)

>he doesnt OC his cock

>he doesn't DP his BF in the BP

alright. i like to keep it safe so i wont even go that high. have mem. at 600 and core at 110, everything runs fine and i got 10fps more on average

>permanently sounds like that one twomad video

Guess your headphones can't handle my amazing OC'd mic.

you get significant gains of 10-20fps at 1440p and higher on many cards. My 2080Ti OC gives me 25fps higher in 3dmark and around 15-20 in games

If you buy a card with a custom PCB and heatsink and don't overclock it you are retarded, that's literally what those are intended for and it's why they cost a little more than the reference cards
