What's P2 like? I've heard people say it has garbage gameplay but a really good story and characters. I might just play the PSX version with the translation patch soon.

kaneko still does a few things, just a lot less than before
i'm gonna miss his demon designs

the gameplay is competent, but certainly not as compelling as press turn/one more kind of stuff
fusion spells are neat, and it's fun fusing up to get the really busted stuff, but it can make it a bit too easy at times
it might be my favorite story as far as persona games go

I played IS years ago and thought it was pretty clunky but it wasn't unbearable. I beat it after all. Now after a long time, I've finally decided to play EP and I expected it to feel clunky too but it really doesn't feel bad at all. There's even an animation skip option to speed up battles if you find it slow. I'm wondering what is making EP feel more comfortable than IS though, despite the very obvious similarities between the two. It's been nearly 10 years since I played IS, maybe I should fire that up and play just for a little bit to refresh myself on what is different. Maybe I just grew a brain over the years.

It's literally the easiest rpg ever made. Not even joking. You can literally use your base persona and nearly AoA blast away every encounter. it somehow makes P5 looks competent

Keep in mind, this only applies to IS. You need to create other personas in EP or you're gonna get fucked.

At first, I liked Persona 3 and 4, but after playing 1, 2 and the rest of the Megaten series I honestly can't enjoy them. They're not awful or bad games, but things could have been so much better.

Whilst it may look like they're using the gun to fire the bullets, they're actually using them to lob the bullets at extremely high speeds somehow.

P2 DOES have garbage gameplay and this dude Is lying. Using your Base Personas means you have to compensate for your weaknesses far more often and use a guide to make sure you don't hurt a certain party members fee fees the wrong way when they're being retarded or else they won't grow. Then even if you do you'll frequently come across parts where you're majorly underpowered and have to grind stat ups so you don't get walled out by even random enemies.
