EA shilling on Zig Forums

Hey guys, I work for an online marketing group. Just a heads up that in the upcoming weeks and months we will be shilling the EA game Star Wars: Squadrons.
I can’t give out any info that could be linked to me but I’m just going to say that the evidence is that you are going to see multiple threads about this game a day for the next few weeks, all with very similar OPs and OP image.
We don’t use bots but we do use pastbins to copy paste the same style of OP and replies with synonyms replaced for some specific words so it becomes slightly harder to notice. We get paid by number of posts, replies and how long a thread stays up so we will make sure each thread stays up as long as possible.

If this is true then why did you post it

You don't fucking say? Anyone with a brain has known this for years now. Your Battlefront threads were not subtle either.

Thanks fellow gamer

I'm not shilling, I'm just making ACfags seethe.

>posts promotional image
>posts full, proper, capitalized name

buddy, c'mon

Because 2 reasons. 1 just because I get paid to do this doesn’t mean I like it (this isn’t the first time a shill has opened up to it on here) and 2 because these jobs are temp as they slowly get taken over by Asian departments who get paid less than half of what we do. I want to get an actual marketing job but this is currently where it’s easy to find work.
As one last note I don’t know if it’s EA or Disney who are paying for this (they don’t tell us) but it’s only STAR WARS EA games we have shilled so it might actually be Disney paying for it.

bruh

I think you're just posting this so that you can back link to it later when people talk about the game and it makes you mad

Lemme guess
All the rebel characters are women/black/asian/brown and all the imperial characters are white men
Am I right?

If OP is wrong then there won’t be hundreds of threads about it using the method he described. If he is right then there will be.

Shills don’t actually play or know much about the products they are shilling.

user there are hundreds of bait threads shilling almost every game ever. ESPECIALLY new ones that the masses don't like.

Unless, of course, people make the sort of threads he describe to shitpost rather than as paid marketing

Zig Forums rarely talks about EA games. How many madden threads do we have? Sure we bait with tranny games like TLOU but most AAA shit gets no real mention here.

You know if the moderators did their job and moved the generals to /vg/ that wouldn’t be a problem right?

>I have no proof but trust me guys
Okay, larping faggot.

Have you seen the amount of EA Battlefront 2 threads they've made? It was really bad a few months ago.

That only lends to OPs claim

OP if you're going to do it, why don't you prefer to do it with a much more "welcoming environment"?
Take a look at this one as an example

That seems like an unrelated issue

They aren’t. Shilling would be harder if daily generals weren’t allowed

Why is EA so obsessed with this board?

Yeah I know I'm saying that there'll be shill threads no matter what, but who knows whether they're paid or just bored Zig Forums posters?

There's a very clear and very identifiable difference between actual paid shills and ironic shills. Both are bad but claiming you can't differentiate them is just simple-minded.

If the shitposting looks the same as shilling, wouldn't better moderation affect the two equally?

If you're not LARPing, do they ever actually use the posts in the blatant shill threads for marketing/feedback purposes? Seems like a pretty convenient way to get a bunch of unfiltered and honest feedback about what's being shilled.
As much as the game being
>EA
the prospect of a star wars space combat game with full VR support sounds like it could be great, and I was genuinely contemplating getting it, if they kept the monetization well away from all of it, but the requirement for the EA account killed my interest as fast as it was created when I found out this game existed with VR support.

No. That requires feedback. Maybe they do it but not from low paid shills. It only goes one way.

Ironic shills go out of their way to look paid. In reality, I doubt anyone actually gives a shit about advertising to the relatively small Zig Forums population.

Likely not. The reason why is because companies try to have plausible deniability when it comes to shilling. They buy marketing packages that include shilling but the top guys aren’t told how, when and where the shilling comes from most of the time. They know they are buying shills but with 3rd party companies in the way so they can deny doing it.

False faggot newfag. Zig Forums is a huge board. Shills paid for smaller forums

>Ironic shills go out of their way to look paid
They are terrible at it then. Like I said, anyone with half a brain cell can spot the differences.
>In reality, I doubt anyone actually gives a shit about advertising to the relatively small Zig Forums population
Then you are naive.
