This game is one of the best casual/sim games of the decade. The landscaping was phenominal, and the realtime growing and day night cycle was perfect. Visuals were some of the best for the time.
Surely there is demand for a sequel seeing the success of other sim/casual games like Stardew and Animal Crossing. Even if rare doesn't wanna do it, the formula could be easily copied using different IP. Who else wants to see a spiritual successor to the great garden builder Viva Pinata?
I'll never forget, doenut glitched in my file and no matter what it would never joined. To this day I've never had a doenut in the first viva pinata. The ds title isn't bad if you can stand the graphics.
Josiah Evans
Actually never played the game, and no one I knew had it (my little cousins had the party spinoff game, but not reg Viva Pinata). Do remember watching the cartoon a bit though. Watched an episode last year, and it did not really age well.
Angel Parker
Yea the cartoon was ok, i feel like the games wouldn't have aged too badly. I'd play it right now if I had a 360 that worked
Jonathan Ross
Had no idea there was a DS version. Nintendo needs to revive this after seeing their crazy animal crossing success.
Samuel Cox
Wouldn't mind a third game on Xsex. The game is almost entirely about visuals. Just make it pretty as fuck.
Nicholas Evans
>doenut glitched in my file You're not the only one. Everyone I knew who had this game hated that deer.
Caleb Rodriguez
I revisit and still have a blast. Shame about the memory limit that reduces you from having a fantastic busy island. I'd like Microsoft to port TIP to the PC but it's doubtful.
Nicholas Sanchez
When I used to smoke weed, I played this game a lot. Good times.
Thomas Phillips
That was the only part that sucked, the memory limit. I always wanted to have a bigger garden with more stuff.
Xavier Green
I'd play it but none of the pirated versions work, and you can't legally buy it on PC anymore or play it if you even bought it.
Robert Turner
Why would Nintendo revive it? It's Microsoft's IP
Camden Evans
i was born in 2002 and played the pog outta viva pinata. Oh the memories....
Landon Reyes
i'd like a steam release at some point
Easton Lee
Both mainline VP games are back compat with enhancements on xbone. Would be nice to see another. The closest we'll get is Bugsnax.
Colton Murphy
Also a 2002chad.
this game was hella based back in the days
Carson Thomas
I played the DS one, it was cute. Wish it had a sequel with expanded functionality. Loved my water gardens with newtgats
Kevin Edwards
Just buy a 360 for like $50 and play it. Trouble in paradise is the superior version anyways
Cooper Cox
Trouble in Paradise felt like there was too much in the game for some reason I think it would have been better if there was 3 gardens to play with, and the arctic and desert animals were exclusive to a garden in that Biome. It just feels extremely limiting to have so much choice in Pinata, yet can only really fully choose one aesthetic, and a tiny number of Pinatas that fit the theme you were going for
Brody Ward
you could probably get a launch xbone for the same price at a pawn shop and it'll play better
Wyatt Ramirez
Oh yes, buy a 360 for a game that came out on PC that I want to play on PC. Big Brain
Ryan Baker
Water gardens were awesome. I remember making them for chippopotamus
Noah Harris
lol imagine being such a fucking poorfag you can't afford a 15 year old 360. and the pc version uses GFWL anyway, faggot.
Dominic Watson
great game
Cooper Gray
Yeah I can't spend $100 on a system for 1 game when literally everything is being looted and bombed. Sorry
Henry Hall
Friendly reminder it has a pc release that runs well and can be Easilly cracked to remove gfwl
Connor Ramirez
unfortunately, rare can't make good games anymore.
Connor Carter
I played it pirated some time ago so the issue is on your side.
Asher Ward
Trouble in paradise didn't have a PC release though. Unless you want to play the strictly inferior version of the game Xbox is your only option dumbass.
Ryan Rivera
Everyone likes talking about Rare's catalogue and how games like Donkey Kong Country and Banjo Kazooie were the best ones, but to me, it was Viva Pinata. It was also the last game Grant Kirkhope did music for when he was still a part of Rare. The visuals are nice, the gameplay is addicting, and the soundtrack is top level comfy that you wouldn't expect for a game like this.
This. Rare is dead. That's who someone (nintendo?) needs to make a spiritual successor by copying the formula and using unique intellectual property
Carter Cooper
These games had such good music. I wish they would make another one
Bentley Richardson
Absolutely the comfiest. This game is a real hidden gem that i was extremely surprised at when i got it. I remember being a 12 year old in blockbuster looking for my next game to rent when I saw this one and thought "what the hell I'll try it". Best decision ever.
