It's just not a well designed game. I don't give a shit about teamwork. I want to be able to 1v5 the entire enemy team if I'm good enough. I hate being limited by randomly assigned allies.

Played it for awhile but quit when I realized how repetitive the maps get and how limited each character is to a specific playstyle.

It's all the fun of playing with LoL shitters but with less characters and less wasted time. It's also a game that mechanically encourages being flexible with character choices while also pushing everyone to play their favorite characters with merch, skins, comics, etc.

It's just tainted at a fundamental level.

Cant play dps anymore cause of the 20 minute wait time or mix up your play roster while in game. So fucking stupid. I used to play overwatch every day but that update ruined the game

The Widowmaker nerfs unironically, imagine nerfing the only hero that requires actual skill in the entire game. Totally killed my mood.

The horrid balancing. The game was fine, especially fun with the boys all playing comp. Every new balance patch or character added was just horrible and actively made the game less fun to play. Eventually the game moved into anti-fun territory where playing it made your life worse in every aspect while playing.

If they did a full game rebalance and actually made it good, I'd probably go back to playing. But it will never happen.

Litwrally the only thing keeping it alive was porn.
Blizzard funded the porn in the beginning of the sfm porn days, and now other companies are designing games with the same look for the same reason; porn is free advertising.
Cűmbrains.

Rigidity of compositions. Choke point heavy maps. Lack of diversity among playstyles and personalization.
OW plays great, looks great, sounds great, characters like Doomfist are fun as fuck, but there just isn't enough there to justify it in terms of competitive play like MOBAS or light enough for casual play like TF2. It's a game with no audience.

even if we ignore every other part of the maps just the fact that it takes every single character at least 30 seconds of walking to get back to the fight is complete horseshit. I can think of maybe one map where this isn't the case.

I never played this game and I don’t know much about the lore but I jerk off to Mercy and Bridgette porn a lot because they look like nice wholesome waifus.
Am I correct in this assumption?

Balance and some of the maps are pretty bad.

The slow movement speed favors turtling which heavily over values tanks.

Mercy rework also got me off it a good bit. She had a high pick rate due to being the only true healer/support in full and she had a good move for sometimes if you try hard you could get a nice potg. And it didn't change that she was the only full healer, it didn't fix the issue. They should have gotten rid of the boost so it made it more viable to pistol whip when not healing and give her guardian angel the ability to boost a way a bit when not targeting someone so she didn't get eaten alive in the fray, which is a big reason why people just hid with her.

Then they went for Brig who was really powerful, but we finally had a healer that wasn't free meat for a genji or tracer making them have to actually think. Not saying she didn't need some balancing but what healer gets seen as OP has far more to do with what Tank is OP at the time more than the healer. (exception being maybe Ana who was broken as fuck the first year she was out, but that was partly because Rein with Ana roids could team kill for a good while there)

The good thing about 2/2/2 is that it showed me which role I'm best at. Apparently I have the highest SR and win the most matches as a tank which I had no idea prior to the role lock.

I was hoping they would release a campaign mode at some point. Yeah, those cinematics they released were cool but they only made me want a proper story mode even more. I got way more into the lore of the game than the game itself.
