I hope it doesn't come back. The struggle to come out ahead last gen gave us gamepass, UI improvements and studio acquisitions. Companies get cocky when they're ahead and I prefer the way it's been going
Angel Wilson
True but Xbox hasn't been ahead since 2011
Sony might get cocky though
Lucas Garcia
I'm okay with that. The amount of consumer-friendly shit xbox is doing is unreal. Backwards compatability across multiple generations is something that should be standard but isn't. I hope they stay behind and keep doing shit like this so we don't have another Xbox One launch on our hands
Every single one will be on PC, so what's the point of Xbox?
Caleb Martin
bc
Juan Parker
let's see what these first party studios that they bought in 2018 have in store. Hopefully they can produce similar quality to Sony's first party studios
Aiden Ramirez
if you have a PC? there isn't one. Just like how there isn't a point to buying a Lexus when you have a Ferrari
Henry Hall
why do people keep asking this? it gets asked and answered every fucking thread
Caleb Sanchez
Almost everyone I know has gamepass, have they stealthily made themselves more viable? Sony lineup is fucking ps2 and 3 ports lol
Game pass is popular but needs to be more popular for Microsoft to really regain market share. Just like ps now there's a huge percentage of people that don't even know it exists
Anthony Murphy
I'm hopeful, I'm sure the xbox will have way better 3rd party trailers than what was shown from sony.
Jaxson Allen
I appreciate Microsoft being more consumer friendly and trying to look like the nice guy but Phil Spencer is all talk no bite, it'll be the usual Forza/Gears/Halo dudebro shit, and even any unique IPs or new stuff worth checking out will definitely come out on PC so why bother owning an Xbone?
People keep saying Xbox has first party now so I did a trannyera search 343 Industries: Have Halo Infinite launching this fall Compulsion Games: Are working on an unannounced 3rd person action game that started development in 2019. Likely a 2022 release Double Fine: Has 2 teams. Team 1 released RAD last year (not XGS) and is working on another game. Team 2 is working on Psychonauts 2 which releases this fall. Their next games are probably 2021/2022 releases Rare: Working on Battletoads (2020), Everwild (2020/2021) and continued support on Sea of Thieves Turn 10: Working on Forza Motorsport 8. Probably out this year with 9 coming in 2022 Mojang: Releasing Minecraft Dungeons in 10 days and has continual support of Minecraft Playground: Working on Forza Motorsport 5 (presumably a 2021 title) and an unannounced fantasy rpg. Probably also a 2021/2022 release Ninja Theory: Has 3 teams. Team 1 just released Bleeding Edge, Team 2 is working on Hellblade 2 and Team 3 is working on Project Mara. If I had to guess, Team 2 and 3 will release their games in late 2021 and late 2022. Undead Labs: Presumably State of Decay 3. Probably 2022/2021. Will be AAA and have more MMO elements The Coalition. Working on Gears 5 DLC, Gears 6 and also a rumored Perfect Dark game The initiative: Unknown game. AAA. Uses Unreal Engine. Probably 2022+ Obsidian: 4 Team studio. Team 1 is working on Grounded, Team 2 on The Outer Worlds sequel/DLC (sequel will be AAA), Team 3 on an unannounced AAA fantasy RPG, Team 4 is an unknown team lead by Josh Sawyer (another smaller game) InXile: Working on Wasteland 3 which releases this August. Also has at least 2 other projects in the works. Xbox Global Publishing: Flight Simulator developed by Asobo Games, Tell Me Why developed by Dontnod and presumably several more games in the works (there are either 5 or 6 producers still working there yet to be credited on an announced game).
Literally nothing interesting.
Ryan Bailey
>Looking forward to Scorn >Devs haven't posted an update in 9 months >Scorn partners with Xbox >Get new trailer with lore implications
Thanks, Xbros. You're alright.
William Sanders
>Microsoft being more consumer friendly They are trying to end game ownership and selling proprietary storage.
Caleb Jones
Can't wait for this thing to start shredding discs because of the vertical standing. This shit has been a problem since the ps2 days.
Nathaniel Gray
Casual people or misinformed people still don’t know about xbox games on pc,my gaming friends didn’t know until yesterday that xbox games were on PC,i’d still buy and xbox due to having a better gamepass lineup than PC.
Mason Reed
>Undead Labs: Presumably State of Decay 3. Probably 2022/2021. Will be AAA and have more MMO elements Took them a decade to get there but they missed the boat for this hard. An MMO with zombie survival elements is not popular anymore.
Lincoln Gonzalez
So it's actually fucking nothing?
Matthew Mitchell
>no japanese first party games like Bloodborne or Gravity Rush >no support from atlus/nippon ichi/falcom/spike chunsoft or other niche japanese third parties >only first party series that get an actual budget are Gears, Halo and Forza which are stale as all hell by now
And even if they fix all these problems there still wouldn't be any reason to get an Xbox because all those games would be on PC anyway.
Joseph Allen
Anyone know if the series X will have more mouse and keyboard support?
Levi Sanders
Most likely
Xbone has it
Isaac Diaz
Idk about games but hardware if this is 499 then I'll definitely buy it.
It's literally better than my PC in every way
if I were to upgrade I would need to spend about 1000 to match the performance.
