4 and DmC cursed an already cursed series. 5 just proved how afraid they were to expand on new things aside from V (I personally loved). So they probably won't try anything like a sequel
And yeah, a new director would also be too afraid of tainting the series again.
I unironically would be okay with a Sparda prequel but I know people getting pissy about that. DMC fans all have their own ideas about what the next games should and shouldn't be.

No, because the whole appeal of DMC combat is that it's polished and smooth as fuck. If you want to play some jank as fuck action there's a million games to choose over DMC.
