In all honesty though, how bad could the remake be? Look at this and tell me that it doesn't look great.

>In all honesty though, how bad could the remake be?
Don't do that. Don't challenge the powers that be. Please user
Well it could be as bad as the original DeS, but I'm hoping they make the game a bit less tedious.
How is the original game tedious?
inb4 the autism soulless fags come here and that one guy spamming his shadow of the colossus webms.
it doesnt look so good that it's not just straight up 60fps minimum
it's 30fps with a performance option that will probably struggle to hold 60
if it were on PC, most of us with mid range PCs would be playing it at 144fps constant, 90fps minimum. That's just the reality of it.
I think anyone who cares that much about Demon's Souls already has Demon's Souls. If the remake is good, I'll give it a go, be nice to have a big online presence again. If it sucks then whatever, I'll just go and play Demon's Souls
BASED
.
the hero we deserve
It looks great, but I want it to look like Demon's Souls
If you don't think we're losing SOUL in the process of trying to make everything photorealistic then I don't know what to say.
Inventory management mostly
i always miss demons souls, but when i load it up i quit out after about 10 minutes of janky gameplay, realizing i just want to listen to the OST again.
it doesn't look great
Imagine actually dying to Vanguard lmao
You didn't, did you user?
This tbqh
>inventory weight burden
>pain in the ass to get upgrade materials (makes me just say fuck it most runs and get the crescent falchion +2 in 2-1)
>no bonfires so if you get gayed by something before finding a shortcut you can lose a lot of progress
>takes a while to get to bosses (can't just run past everything)
also
>can get scraped, etc if you're online
>world tendency can be a hassle, having to suicide in the nexus, etc
I imported the game from Asian when it first came out and reset the game 3 times until I beat him.
Might be the nostalgia, but I prefer this.
So you're not a casual, but did you die to Dragon God after that?
What kind of dumb question is this?
also,
>those fucking shiny lizards don't respawn
I just started this game and I'm somewhere past rectal examining some big spider boss, and just got my first "inventory full" message.
So I slipped on the ring that gives +50 inventory capacity and down to the nexus we go.
Wasn't aware that carry weight was an issue in DeS. But it's not bothering so far.
Other than that, the bonfire thing and the shortcut thing are things that add to the suspense. In my experience at least.
I'll never know whats coming next but I'm always on my toes because I'm damn well not expecting it for me to get easy.
My biggest gripe on this game...
Are ladders.
Holy shit these are bad.
the problem with that logic is that desr is the only game that would be worth playing on the ps5. if not even that's good, why get a ps5 at all?
you didn't play demon's souls
you lose something, you gain something, the original will always be there for you
ARE YOU A CASUAL user. DID YOU DIE TO DRAGON GOD
It's like watching the local retard trying to be smart
for me i got to Tower of Latria and picked up a bunch of cool shit and right then had to decide what to do. Either keep it or lose some shit in my inventory. Because you know if you warp anywhere that shit is history.
So if i were you i would advise seeing the old grumpy cunt in the nexus and letting him hold on to some of your shit before it's too late... he needs your business.
Welcome to Zig Forums.
All we have so far is a cinematic trailer and some bullshots, let's wait for actual gameplay to be shown before calling it a disaster.
Bluepoint did good with the Shadow of the Colossus remake, no reason to think they can't work their magic again.
yes they do, 4 times total
Dark Souls 2 was an absolute mess without Miyazaki and DS3 didn't even have Miyazaki until later in development since he was working on BB and the DLC. Demon Souls will be a disaster.
>refuses to answer
Dirty casual, I knew it
Looks like Lena Dunham but with less horns.
Did they steal the designs from world of warcraft?
Newsfalsh, retard. You can't kill the Dragon God in your first encounter.
The game will die in a month user, so online presence doesn't even matter really. I mean look at BB, despite it being praised as game of the decade, it's fucking dead. Really shows how people talk out of their ass
>you cant kill dragon god in your first encounter
yeah that's if you're bad kid, killed him first try.
>if people aren't in pvp, they aren't playing it
user, this is stupid.
>kill
I never said shit about killing
You obviously didn't do the chad thing and mash the start button to skip the dragon god fucking saitama punching you cutscene. In my playthrough, as far as my character is aware, I killed the Vanguard and got isekei'd to the Nexus. Good job being a virgin tho
Yeah that's true, I forgot that it was potentially tied to a new console. I guess it'll be one game to look forward to down the line when a PS5 seems worth the purchase.
Not even PvP. No CO-OP, no invasions. Ya know, the online part?
In a game that you can play offline. You're bolstering the stupid with more stupid.
I like the design here, but it's so much more 2020 than it is 2009. It's less of a strict upgrade and more of a redesign.
Is that supposed to be funny?
i've never seen a post so based
I'm sure a lot of people are like me where they bought a ps4 for bloodborne and never got PS+
Yes, but the online is dead. That's my point? That's what extends the life of the game is the online. What's your point?
It's supposed to be light-hearted. Does being a fucking killjoy all the time get tiring?
It's an old game that we don't know will play any differently or if that would even be a good thing. The one thing it has going for it is that it has better graphics, but took liberties with the art direction. A step forward, a step backwards. As it is now the Demon's Souls remake is nothing but a superficial, pricey upgrade. 500 dollars plus 60 for a prettied up old game makes it really hard to want to buy this when I can just play the old game.
I played it yesterday and the day before for the first time in ages and I managed to find co op in chalice dungeons really easily. I’d search and it wouldn’t take longer than a minute to find someone to spelunk with and I was playing for a couple hours both times. It’s still active
>Bluepoint did good with the Shadow of the Colossus remake
???
Minority yes. If the soul series didn't have it's unique online features, they would have been looked over as another typical generic slashy fantasy game. The fact you can get invaded by a real person, each time provides a whole new experience is part of the fun.
