REKINDLE MY LOVE OF GAMES

I’m bored of games. I don’t know if this is because I’m burnt out or just depressed. I don’t have motivation to play anything. I read about games, look into them, but then when I start them up I go “eh” and toss it to the side.

Give me a game that will rekindle my love of games. I know there are others out there like this.

Ace Combat 7.

Another game isn't going to solve your problem.

Try another hobby
Don't play games for 2-3 months

Demon's Souls did this for me back in the day.

Recently, Zelda BOTW did.

Reddit: The Response

what do I do then

play a game you really would have wanted to play as a kid

You're just sick of the clones, the industry is flooded with the same shit every year. You need to find those diamonds in the rough, or be open to new games that aren't AAA.

Also, fpbp.

that would be like a super immersive multiplayer game of some sort but all MMORPGs end up being boring

What platforms do you own?

Dwarf Fortress

basically everything but xbox

I recommend trying cult classics out.
Real talk you sound burnt out. Time to live life without video games for a while. You’re clearly using them as escapism.

Get a life and stop playing video games. They're all shit anyway.

Its depression,my therapist says so.

Play something with friends, or a mate etc, it makes everything better regardless of what you play.

Either that, or drink and you will find something. I constantly go through all my games, booting some up, playing a little and giving up because I'm not into it. I have a drink, and I feel it's easier to get into something.

I'd have recommended Ninja Gaiden Black to you if you did have an Xbox. It's pretty much peak vidya. I guess you could try out Flatout 2, that's a video game I always return to when I'm not that interested in playing anything else, but other than that my only recommendation is that you unplug your PC or at least your internet for a while because video games are a lot more fun when you don't have any alternative for quality entertainment.

your love will glow in time, there is no reason to force to game if you don't want. Just do another thing and look for new hobbies. When you are ready to play, you will enjoy it again.

when ever i get game burnout just play your fav game from when you were a kid and or play a completly diferent genre from anything you usually play.
recently got into old 90s rpgs, fighting games, DDR and vr games

I feel the same user. Imo, since game journalism has gone to shit we have no one to curate good experiences anymore. Most people don't even no what good taste looks like

Metal Gear Rising kicked me back into games full time many years back.

>too many games
While there are a lot more games that come out today, the number of games that are actually worth playing every year has remained constant since the 1980s. 99.9% of video games are complete and utter garbage, and that includes most AAA titles.

What the fuck is the point of this? Why wouldn't you just build a home gym? You could literally buy all of that equipment for the cost of a month of a gym membership. Gyms are the biggest fucking scam on earth.

What do you typically play, specific games and genre wise?

Are games the only hobby you have, if so diversify.

Try playing games from genres you've never played. Either that or take a break and try to get into antoher hobby.

Terrible suggestion.
Why are Ace Combat fans like this?

>remained constant since the 1980s
Except drought years exist. The most recent example would be 2013-2016, those years fucking sucked and the amount of quality vidya being released has been steadily increasing since 2017.

>You could literally buy all of that equipment for the cost of a month of a gym membership

Ok retard.

Eat better, exercise, SOCIALIZE IRL, and dive deeper into work or school to feel accomplishment and mastery.

>socialize during a pandemic
good advice

You're not bored of games you're lacking meaning in your life, do something useful with yourself and you'll feel better about games
>but I don't want to
Do you want to enjoy games again or not?

You're socializing right now

>dive deeper into work or school
Being a better wagie is not going to solve existential problems of the modern man. Abandon wagie life, work for yourself and find meaning in that

Why do newfags on Zig Forums think people care if they play games?

Just wait long enough and you'll eventually play all your favorite games again as remakes & remasters

ace combat is my favorite game from last year and god knows that last year was one of the best years in gaming history
is close to 2004/2005

You need something else in your life user
Come back to games once you’ve found it

BLM terrorist supporters, no thanks

Who are? I need to check them out then.

Sometimes I think this, but then I'll be playing a game and just think "wow this is actually fun"
Basically stop thinking and just play something
