Both next Gen consoles are already outdated. But if I had to choose I'd go Switch, PC, PS5.

As a pc fan and owner of ever console, I'd chalk most of what was written by digital foundry as true, but erroneous in some places, for one, pc gears 5 has options that exceed ultra, for them not to be quoted was fine, but what they should have clarified was the 100fps statistic, because there is no way it was near that number on ultra 4k, perhaps 1440p, which would still look fine and look wonderful, but to have it be presumed 4k is preposterous. personally I'm excited for the console releases because they set a new baseline, that a gpu must exceed the console whilst costing lower or slightly higher to justify its price, be it in raytracing or pure rasterisation, make no mistake however, for series x to run gears as well as it does is impressive.

They actually have the option and power to 4k 60fps across any title from pure numbers and the statistics offered by both sides, should microsoft mandate, ps5 unfortunately doesn't have anything close to the offering, I'd wager even 3200x1800 would be straining, too taxing as the variables of the ps5 would rear it's head.

acshually the playstation the fifth has such a powerful SSD that they could remove the CPU and the GPU and it would still run every next gen title at 4k 120fps!
Some user pointed out that cases for the series x would be easier to produce then say, a ps5, so I expect there to be a plethora of custom chassis available

Why? Because gears 5 can run at 4k60 with extra graphic settings on SeX? It already runs fluctuating 1400p-4K at 60fps on OneX, it doesn't mean shit. They're going to sacrifice framerate for gaytracing and native 4k in most games and only racing shit and halo/gears will have 60fps.

I don’t know why it has to be said but first party exclusives don’t drive console sales for Xbox and PlayStation. Third party exclusives no longer exist and when they do they are either timed or they have exclusive minor content (which is also usually timed). The only real exclusives are first party and only Nintendo first party drives console sales. The majority of console gamers don’t game on PC anyways so a console exclusive on Xbox is still an exclusive.
They’ve shown off a few games utilizing the extra hardware for “next gen” fidelity. No new graphics should really be the universal mantra of the generation as a whole, the smallest generational leap in the history of consoles. XBSX is over 9x more powerful than the XB1. You need 10x to be a leap so that’s close but the problem is the mid gen consoles. XBSX is only 2x more powerful than an XB1X. PS5 is only 5x more powerful than a PS4 which is less than the 6x that an XB1 was over a 360. Graphics technology is still stuck on the same generation with a few enhancements but nothing like PS360 to this current one. PS5 is a little more than 2x more powerful than PS4 Pro. The mid gen consoles have destroyed the gap. There is none. The original Xbox was 2.5-3x more powerful than a PS2. By the same standard, both the Pro and Xb1X are in the same gen as PS5 and XBSX
