Keyboard and mouse is inherently more cramped and less comfortable than a controller and for most singleplayer games a controller is better.
Yes mouse is really good if you’re looking for fast control but comfort wise the keyboard is so fucking horrible to use, especially if you have giant ham hands like I do. Its gonna give me arthritis.

Sonic the Hedgehog started going downhill when they introduced voice acting. I'm a firm believer that the games would be SO much better if they were to just remove voice acting and keep the classic model for 3d games.

Everything that makes Resident Evil 5/6 garbage is also prevalent in 4 except at least in those games I can play with a pal. Dead Space is a better game in every regard and I'd even argue RE1 is too if only because of no quick time events.

I was in the same boat as you, fucking hated anything to do with KBandM and vehemently stuck with my controller up until I tried to complete Eternal on nightmare with a controller and literally couldn't. I then sat down and pretty much brute forced my way into becoming halfway decent with a keyboard and mouse and by the end of my nightmare playthrough, I can't see myself NOT playing on a keyboard and mouse on any game where it would make sense to given a chance

I'd argue that sometime I just want to relax and play a strategy game that doesn't ask too much of me but you're right that turn based games are pretty much the lowest skill games, particularly if they lean heavily on RNG.

PC gaming is a meme at this point. Sitting alone infront of a computer, watching streamers or playing games is probably the saddest shit ever. The older I get, the less I use a pc for gaming. The more I use a console the more I have fun. I am actively seeking out friends to play on the couch together. PC masterrace is basically loners with no friends. Ask them how they feel at midnight, they will reply with a sarcastic "crying alone haha lol". There are so many "Hey guize I am literally depressed and crying right now." It's becoming a problem.

Counter Strike's accuracy system is the single worst gameplay choice ever made to an FPS and I cannot fathom how people tolerate and defend it so vigorously.

You have a point. I can't fathom playing anything in which you have to aim using a controller. Mouse is the best for aiming, with gyro controls coming close second. Games that don't have aiming, like platformers or racing are fine using a controller. It's not your fault if you have big hands, user.

Eh I used kbm for tf2 back in the day but it still gave me cramps, i played doom eternal on console and just played it at the hard difficulty, I felt like it was made for pc with all the shit you have to swap with all the time but I got over it, I also can’t be assed getting a proper desk setup for my pc.

There have also been some unironically good games that had their reputations ruined because of certain game design choices that rustled the jimmies of a vocal minority of entitled esports neckbeards. How we let such a small group of people hold such big sway over entire development teams is a travesty.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was the most boring game I've ever played.
I dragged myself through the tutorial hoping it'd get better when you weren't being dragged through the snow on a linear path, but even having set up the next camp and completed a couple more missions I found them really boring and linear and there was nothing I really wanted to do in the open world, which was a slog to get around. The characters didn't seem at all interesting either and I don't care to find out if it gets better.
I would be interested to hear why people actually like it because it's an absolute mystery to me, but honestly there's no convincing me to go back.
