I've been playing the Halo series for the first time and I must say, Sergeant Johnson is the only black character I've seen who is absolutely based as fuck and isn't forced on the player in any way.

If you really think that then honestly you are seeing patterns in clouds.
Obviously there are absolutely forced diversity characters, but to say that the majority of black characters are forced diversity, let alone all but one black characters are that, is fucking retarded. If I wanted to go a bit SJW myself I could say that the reason Johnson doesn't seem that way to you is because he's pretty much a sterotypical gung ho black dude caricature himself. That being said yes, the Halo games do a good job of having black, hispanic, female, etc characters that don't feel forced.
