What's the deal with this game? Was Innocent Sin on PSP a remake of it?
Persona 2
waiting for eternal punishment psp translation general
Persona 2 is a two game duology. Both games released on PlayStation and remade for PSP.
Innocent Sin is the first part, the PlayStation version was never released in English.
Eternal Punishment is the second part, the PSP version was never released in English.
Same
Never played it but Maya is hot.
imagine her going futa on p3/4/5 girls as revenge
I don't know anything about P1-2, but my impression is that none of the games are interconnected. Is there some type of underlying lore? Do all of the Persona games take place in the same world?
That's Shadow Maya, my man
Didn't some anons say they were doing an undub?
Yes, there are textual references/cameos. P4 characters even go to the P3 city on vacation, and meet a side character. And the canon fighting games have older versions of most of the main cast of 3 meeting the 4 cast.
Yes they're interconnected. Not to the extent that you absolutely need to play 1 before 2, but characters in 1 reappear in 2. P1 and P2 have a stronger tie than they do with 3 onwards (the series since 3 are mostly connected via spinoffs and otherwise only loosely referenced in sequels).
My favorite two characters might be Maya and Kay from Maken X
>what is google
supposedly yes they do, and the underlying lore is philemon and nyarlathotep made a bet that humans can evolve and progress on their own while instead of destroying themselves, and the main conflicts in persona are those two trying to win their side of the bet either directly like in 1 or 2 or through proxy agents like in 3-5
Funny I just started playing the PS1 version last night. Never played a Persona game before but I'm enjoying it.
What brought you to start with EP, user? You should have downloaded the PS1 version of Innocent Sin first.
Actually I am playing Innocent Sin first, it's the fan translation. I just meant Persona 2 in general.
Oh, cool. Just a protip, once you beat it you can actually use the save transfer but loading up the debug version of EP and then saving your game, then continuing on with the retail copy.
The PSP remake of EP was great until the boring-ass dungeon to free Shiori.
I swear the first two sections of the Tatsuya scenario were made up of PS1 cut content. It feels too natural, even if it is Tadashi's writing.
Ah nice I'll keep that in mind. And yeah I started 1 on the PSP but never really got far and decided to just skip to 2. Normally I try to start any series from the beginning but 1 just felt especially dated.
persona 1 is like 8 hours max or something. personally i enjoyed playing it even, and i liked the animations, but each to their own
Enjoy user, both games together make one of my favourite stories in an RPG.
You know, I never thought of that, but now that you mention it, it kinda does. It's also nice how Tatsuya's narration makes a lot of things very clear, such as when he deflects a fucking bullet from Shiori's pistol. P1/P2 folk were on another level.
That's funny, I think I actually enjoyed playing 1 more than 2.
Maybe it was just the beginning grabbed me less. I didn't really get into the gameplay much yet. 2 I felt had a much more engaging opening than 1. I'm debating if I should just go back and restart that game again.
Yeah, or the narration of when he burst through the door and sliced up Kandori's goons. Tatsuya is hardcore.
I will say though, I like the Shiori plot but I do miss the Nomad feeling EP Tatsuya had, without knowing he had a place to live during the game.
Fuck yeah. I'm just glad to find someone other than me who actually played that.
EP is the sequel to IS which never got localized but EP did. EP can be played as standalone but I really wouldn't.
The funny part is, I don't know a lick of moon and mainly did it so I had a save file ready to go for the patch back in 2017. Which was easy since I know EP like the back of my hand.
Then after the fact, I realised the script was online so I gave it another go and actually understanding what's going on it's easily the coolest plot to any Atlus expansion.
It did have a PSP remake, but it was only released in Japan
