Titanfall 2 fucking sucks though. Only 1 was good.

Everybody who's played Titanfall 2 loves it, and recognizes it was wrongfully scheduled in between battlefield and CoD so that EA could buy out Respawn (which is exactly what happened).

Apparently now these games install a "slim" client that exists entirely for logging in and verifying on Origin servers. Allegedly they proclaim on reddit that they're working to ease that necessity off eventually too.

you still need origin to play it. People weren't saying they want it on steam so much as they didn't want to use Origin.

The story isn't going to blow your mind or anything, but it's a damn fun campaign to play through. Mostly because while it's linear, it still lets you go to town with your full double jump and wallrunning abilities, while your Titan basically megamans different loadouts of abilities and weaponry as you progress. Plus some fun bits to romp through.

why would anyone bother to buy it on steam if they already have it on origin and the steam version requires origin to be open anyway? you're just paying extra money to force yourself to run two drm launchers instead of one.
