Yes. I just finished it and it shot its way into my top 9 favorite games of all time. Just treat it as a nice long story and don't rush through it if you don't want to. And 15 hours is the max, think more like 10-12 for a majority of them

Yea that confused the fuck outta me when I first read it. But the manga explains it a lot better. Imagine the Meta World as a game room where Battler and Beatrice can watch what's going on Rokkenjima and where they can control the pieces they have access to. You get more used to it as you read but the manga really does help.
Of course it's real, how else could it have been done except by magic?
i sat through all of the voice acting so it was more like 20-25 hours per ep

Can someone please explain to me this series' structure? Vndb is absolutely no help in telling me which games I should download. Like there are 8 chapters of Higurashi and 9 of Umineko but they rereleased BOTH of them as all-included collection game that just happens to be a sequel as well? There's 4 question arcs, and 4 answer arcs, then a comedy shitfest at the end for laughs. First is Umineko no Naku Koro Ni 1-4, and then ni Chiru 5-8.

What are you asking? Higurashi and Umineko are connected in a small way but it's not like one is a direct continuation of the other. They are just under the "When They Cry" franchise with some connections to each other.
Higurashi is When they cry 1&2, Umineko is When they cry 3&4. I would recommend the exact ordering to read if you have time
