partisanchads ww@?
I've been playing Summoner since I started and I really like that class and the pets are really cute. But I've been thinking lately that maybe a melee class would be more exciting since I would actually be involved in the fight instead of standing 20 feet away watching my pet do cool stuff. Like, what if I could maybe do the cool stuff?
Recommend me a melee class, please. I've tried a few different weapons, but since I don't have all the PAs, I don't know how good they are later on. Wired Lance Hunter looks like the most fun to me, but Fighter looks fine too. Not really into katanas. And what about the classes we don't have yet? I hear that there's a gunblade class later on. Is it good?
What's the PSE Burst theme and why is it Floating Facility?
this game is dead because of sega and microsoft
>tfw finally took the roulettepill
why even bother playing the actual game
One of my friends says that your drop rate goes up if you avoid breaking the big red drop crystals. I cant find anything to back this up. Is he full of shit?
>Melee Class Recs
I think that it'd be best to just do some of the practice quests first to get a general feel for them first. Keep in mind some weapons require certain skills/rings/PAs
>Classes we don't have yet
There are 3 in the game currently, with a 4th one coming soon. The gunblade class is that 4th one, so not even JP has it yet user.
The other three classes share weapons with the other classes, but they use them differently/have unique PAs. They are also something special called "Successor Classes"; they come with all of their PAs prelearned, but you can't start playing as these classes unless you fulfill certain conditions. Originally, you needed to have a Melee, Ranged, and Tech class at level 75 for Hero, but iirc it was changed to just be any 2 classes at 75.
When picking one of these guys, you cannot have a subclass. However, Phantom and Etoile can be selected as subclasses and allow for some pretty absurd character builds (e.g. Hunter/Etoile is an unkillable meme build)
>Hero
Weapons are Swords, TMGs, and Talis. Hero cannot cast techs and has special PAs for the Talis, and they have fuckhuge attack power. Hero's main gimmick is that they have PAs with built in weapon swap gimmicks. A lot of people like compare Hero to Dante from Devil May Cry. Hero comes with the Episode 5 update (Currently, we're going to get Episode 4 at around August so take that as you will).
>Phantom
Weapons are Katanas, Rods, and Assault Rifles. Phantom is fairly easy to play and has variants for all of their PAs (similar to Bouncer), to the point that they can cover any situation. They also get absolute FUCKLOADs of PP to play around with. Phantom comes with the Episode 6 (Part 1) update.
>Etoile
Weapons are DoubleSabers, Dual Blades, and Wands. Etoiles are seen as being more Supportive/Defensive than other classes, since they can get obscene amounts of mitigation and HP. Don't worry too much about this class because we probably won't get it until 2021.
What do I do with 12 star weapons? I've been just throwing them into storage but I have no idea what to do with them since you can't swap shop them. Do I just save them for feeding my 13 star when I get it?
>Your drop rate goes up if you don't take any fucking loot
user that doesn't even sound remotely believable. he's clearly fucking with you.
the only real drop data we have is that breaking boss parts adds to the droptable
Why did they gave up on scaling hardcore on the last 2 fights of episode 3?
>Melee classes
Hunter is the UNGA BUNGA class that can facetank with charged moves and easy guards, Fighter is the glass cannon class and is missing a lot of shit that makes their weapons good so a lot of people aren't bothering right now, Bouncer is the speedy class that gets access to techs for shits n giggles, Gunner is the "totally melee" class since you're encouraged to be in melee range 24/7, and braver is the weeb class that basically plays like Hunter but with more timed hits and multihits.
use them as enhance fodder for 13 stars yes. Feed them into each other if you want to save up on inventory space and lambda grinders for when you eventually feed them to your 13 star
Remake when
My guess: not happening ever.
Thanks. I've done the training quests but they tend to only focus on one or two PAs per weapon and I didn't really get a good feel of what the full experience would be like. I also took each weapon out and did an expedition with them, but while I have a few PAs for each because I eat every disk I find, I don't have all of them and I also don't have the cool skills from the trees, so it's also hard to get a feel for how good they'd be later on.
Are wired lances good later on? They were the most fun when fighting trash mobs, but the fact that you can't grab bosses does seem like a big drawback. Although that move where you electrocute them still worked on the boss I fought with it, so long as it didn't move from its place because it didn't actually grab it. Or do hunters generally switch around between different weapon types? I've also been watching videos and looking at builds, but unlike with summoners, it looks like there's a lot of hunter builds around.
oh hes not fucking with me, he totally believes it. I asked what evidence or documentation he has and he aint got shit
I don't really main wired lances so keep that in mind with my answers
>Are wired lances good later on?
I think that they're alright, but they're nowhere near as popular as Swords are like most games.
>Can't grab bosses
See pic related, I'm pretty sure that ungrappleable enemies are the reason why this ring exists. Just getting it at level 1 should be fine unless you care about getting slightly more MEL power.
>Do Hunters main one weapon?
The game kind of pushes you to pick one weapon and stick to it, plus Hunter weapons are pretty flexible; some people have another weapon as a backup for certain fights or just swap for shits n giggles though. Most classes like to have a Gunblade they swap to for movement in expeditions/large maps if they main a weapon with poor map mobility though
>Videos
Hunters are just a popular class and they have been around longer than Summoners have.
I don't get it. What's the point of that ring? It makes it so that you can't grab anything? But how does that help with bosses? You already can't grab them, so this ring would make no difference. It would just make it so that trash mobs don't get grabbed either. And that's no fun.
I made a summoner and I feel like I cant do shit. Should I make something easier first or stick with it?
>See pic related, I'm pretty sure that ungrappleable enemies are the reason why this ring exists. Just getting it at level 1 should be fine unless you care about getting slightly more MEL power.
that's how it works yes
The ring lets you do the full animation/PA without actually grappling anything user. As long as you hit the target with the initial "grapple", you'll do the rest of the attack even if the target can't be picked up. I like to swap between that ring and the counter ring depending on what I'm doing
Anyone got a retard's guide to affixing?
I just can't grasp it.
Can't do shit in what sense? You mostly use your pet's PAs for damage and they all have different kits, so later on you can switch between different pets for different situations. Like, there's some that are good at AoE, there's one that has a block move and can also sacrifice itself to deal a ton of damage, and one that is based around doing combos for extra damage and that is really good against bosses. The starter pet you have is actually really powerful and will learn more PAs as it levels up and can even evolve later on. You can also cast techs, so you can use Resta, Shifta, and Deband. The skill tree later gives you a passive that makes it so that your pet will request either Shifta or Deband and using it will give the pet an additional happiness damage bonus on top of shifta.
>The ring lets you do the full animation/PA without actually grappling anything user.
Yeah, but doesn't it do that already? I used that move that grabs an opponent and shocks them against Vol Dragon and it didn't grab him but still did the full animation and shocked him a bunch of times. The lances just stuck to the ground instead.
Is the installer still dog shit?
MS store one? Yes.
>Class
Summoner
>Weapon
ARF ARF! ARF ARF! ARF ARF! ARF ARF!
so much this :(
i feel retarded
I guess a better way to describe it is I feel overwhelmed by it. I'm not used to this type of game so picking a class that seems to be a little more micromanaged than others is a bit much.
Wired lance is great, good mobbing, goes through guards, really good mobility with spin dance, essentially stuns mobs with the grab.
As you mentioned, you can't grab onto big guys, but that's not inherently a disadvantage as the animation is faster, and it does mean you have to position to use shocking tether, but that's not really a huge disadvantage for how strong that move is if you can mash.
Daily reminder:
>Hunter is for sub80 IQ
>Fighter is dead and will be dead for years
>Ranger players are weak, their bloodline is weak and their children will not survive winter
>Cunner
>Force is biggest meme in the game
>Techer is useless unless you're into bottom ERP
>Summoner is chinese farmer bot class
>Bouncer breaks reality to somehow be even bigger meme than Force
>Braver is objectively the chaddest class and only choice if you want to be taken seriously
Also:
>Playing anything but male CAST
Oh. Well, you don't need to worry about everything all at once. I hear that sword Hunter is really good for beginners, but since you become overpowered so quickly in this game, I think you would probably be fine with any class. You'll have plenty of time to learn it. I picked Summoner first and I really liked it and I didn't have trouble adapting. You can just stick to raising Wanda since it's good in any situation until you're comfortable with getting another pet. The whole thing with the candy box also looks complicated at first glance, but it's actually a lot easier than upgrading regular weapons. And you can always just look for a guide that tells good candy configurations. I use this one:

Someone posted this in a previous thread.
From my experience with the game so far, it seems like a game that is no friend of the cheapskate player who doesn't open their wallet at all, I stopped as I refuse to open my wallet as the game has done nothing but annoy me up until this point, no thanks Sega, make a real PSO game please.
Thanks. I'll probably settle for that weapon. Some of the others looked pretty good too, but the wired lance really caught my eye.
I'm still struggling to make it work on my side. Already downloaded tweaker and the game in it, did the whole register thing and finally saw the game trying to start and yet nothing popped up after it loaded the anti cheat thing
